GET READY: Trump Poised to Nominate One of These Big Name Conservatives As New DHS Chief

Well, looky here!

John Salvatore

President Trump is now looking for Kirstjen Neilsen’s replacement at the Department of Homeland Security after she submitted her resignation.

Although, word has it that POTUS forced her out – due to not being as aggressive as he’d like on the border.

Kevin McAleenan is currently the acting DHS chief.

Who might replace Neilsen and McAleenan?

How about Rick Perry, current secretary of Energy, former Texas governor and former presidential candidate?

Per two Republicans involved in discussions, Sec. Rick Perry is being eyed for DHS. Ken Cuccinelli also on WH radar for DHS, has boosters on right in Congress. Kobach and Bondi have had their names mentioned, but seen as unlikely.

Perry is seen as the easiest to confirm for the job by top Rs and WH officials but not clear yet he’s take the post, based on my convos with sources.

Perry makes sense considering he has already been confirmed by the Senate.

Why would he be shot down on the second go around, ya know? Democrats would have to find something WILD from his high school yearbook.

Vehemently anti-Trump author Ann Coulter isn’t a fan:

You lose again, 3-D Trumpsters! @realDonaldTrump considering Rick Perry and Ken Cuccinelli, total 100% open borders Republicans. Not a lying conman at all.

The thing is, does Perry even want the new gig if nominated?

From The Hill:

President Donald Trump’s Energy Secretary Rick Perry says he’s not interested in replacing ousted Homeland Security chief Kirstjen Nielsen.

Perry, an Air Force veteran who was Texas’s longest-serving governor, has been previously considered to lead DHS, as well as other agencies such as Veterans Affairs.

Perry noted, “I’m happy where I am and the president is happy where I am.

More on Neilsen, via CBS News:

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen abruptly resigned Sunday, as the president continues to fume over continued illegal border crossings. CBS News first reported Nielsen’s impending departure, which Mr. Trump confirmed in a tweet after a 5 p.m. meeting with Nielsen at the White House.

Trump commented and announced her acting replacement:

Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen will be leaving her position, and I would like to thank her for her service….

….I am pleased to announce that Kevin McAleenan, the current U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner, will become Acting Secretary for @DHSgov. I have confidence that Kevin will do a great job!

Due to the overwhelming number of migrants attempting to cross into America from the southern border, the Department of Homeland Security is taking action.

They are sending 750 additional agents to the border.

Maybe this will open up some Democrat eyes.

Then again, no, no it won’t.

Here’s the DHS press release:

Today, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen M. Nielsen issued a memorandum to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Commissioner Kevin McAleenan outlining new steps the agency must take to combat the growing security and humanitarian crisis at the southern border.

“The crisis at our border is worsening, and DHS will do everything in its power to end it,” said Secretary Nielsen. “We will not stand idly by while Congress fails to act yet again, so all options are on the table. We will immediately redeploy hundreds of CBP personnel to the border to respond to this emergency. We will urgently pursue additional reinforcements from within DHS and the interagency. And we will require those seeking to enter the United States to wait in Mexico until an immigration court as reviewed their claims.”

Trump Denies Minnesota’s Request for Federal Funding After Billions In Damage From BLM Riots

The right move?

John Salvatore

President Trump will get blasted hard by the mainstream media for denying the state of Minnesota’s request. At the end of the day, his decision is the correct one. You can’t tell cops to stand down and allow far-left rioters to destroy your state and then ask for a bailout. Sorry, bro. Ain’t gon’ hap’n. LOOK: More from Star Tribune: Walz asked President Donald Trump to declare a “major disaster” for the state of Minnesota in his request to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) on July 2. More than 1,500 buildings were damaged by fires, looting and vandalism in the days of unrest that followed Floyd’s May 25 death in Minneapolis police custody, racking up more than $500 million in damages, according to Walz. The governor’s spokesman, Teddy Tschann, confirmed late Friday that the request for federal aid was denied. “The Governor is disappointed that the federal government declined his request for financial support,” Tschann said in a statement. “As we navigate one of the most difficult periods in our state’s history, we look for support from our federal government to help us through.” A law and order president America needs – and deserves! Sorry not sorry, lefties.

Several Employees Fired From ‘Five Guys’ After Refusing to Serve Police Officers (Video)

Was it worth it, y’all?

John Salvatore

What kind of nonsense profiling is this, where all police officers are deemed dishonorable because of the actions of a very small few? Don’t these future Joe Biden voters have any shame? My word. Here’s what’s up, via Fox10TV: Employees involved in an incident at the Five Guys restaurant in Daphne, in which they were reported to have refused to give service to Daphne police officers, have been fired or suspended, according to Five Guys. […] The officers said the employees turned their backs on them when they entered the restaurant. The officers said one of the employees was overheard saying, “I’m not serving them.” The officers left and went to another restaurant. The officers claim six or seven employees acted together. WATCH: LOOK: Do dumb things, pay the consequences. It’s really that simple, folks.
