GOP House Rep. Predicts More Political Violence Coming

As our nation speeds toward yet another election, (and an ever-more bitter contest after that), there is plenty of division to be found.

A great deal of this disparate ideological angst comes to us courtesy of the mainstream media, who’ve spent decades perfecting an equation of sensationalism and salaciousness that drives us further into our political corners by the week.  Now, we are reaping what they’ve sown, as Americans battle one another in the streets over any number of issues.

Now, at least one member of the GOP believes that there is plenty more violence to come.

“There is violence in the future, I’m going to tell you,” Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) said on ABC’s “This Week” program. “And until we get a grip on telling people the truth, we can’t expect any differently.”

And that wasn’t all:

Kinzinger, who defied party leadership by serving on the Democratic-led committee, described an alarming message he received at home in the mail several days ago threatening to execute him, his wife and their 5-month-old baby.

“I’d never seen or had anything like that. It was sent from the local area,” he said.

Kinzinger is at odds with a vast swath of the Republican Party of late, thanks to his continued opposition to Donald Trump and the MAGA Movement.
