Health Officials In Florida Admit That Man Who Died In Motorcycle Crash Listed As COVID Death

One of the big topics of discussion this week has been the artificial inflation of coronavirus death numbers from the state of Florida, which is experiencing a really bad resurgence of the illness at the moment.

There has been some evidence that has emerged in support of this idea, including the actual admission by Florida health officials that a man who died from a motorcycle accident was listed as a COVID-19 death.

Guys, this isn’t a good look. It’s this kind of junk right here that makes folks so distrustful of the information coming out about this illness.

Here’s more from The Washington Examiner:

Dr. Raul Pino, an Orange County health officer, told Fox 35 News that a supposed coronavirus victim in his 20s died in a motorcycle crash and didn’t have any underlying conditions.

“I don’t think so. I have to double-check,” Pino said when asked about removing the man from the death count. “We were arguing, discussing, or trying to argue with the state. Not because of the numbers — it’s 100 … it doesn’t make any difference if it’s 99 — but the fact that the individual didn’t die from COVID-19 … died in the crash. But you could actually argue that it could have been the COVID-19 that caused him to crash. I don’t know the conclusion of that one.”

“More questions about Florida’s #COVID19 data tonight after state health official tells us a person who died in a motorcycle accident was added to the state’s coronavirus death count,” Fox 35 reporter Danielle Lama tweeted in response to the news.

Fox 35 News conducted an investigation and concluded that the positivity rates from Covid-19 testing were significantly lower than what was being reported by the state health department.

Folks, there is something sinister about all of this. It doesn’t necessarily mean there’s a bunch of folks plotting our destruction. What it absolutely indicates is how much this whole mess has been politicized, and as a result, things are getting sloppy.

Now is a bad time for information to be sloppy. We need facts. Hard, concrete facts. This is what will help us fight and ultimately defeat coronavirus. And in order for that to happen, we must do stop making this political.
