Just the start…

Florida 2018 is just as wild as Florida 2000, as far as elections go.

Thanks to Broward and Palm Beach Counties, the people of the Sunshine State still don’t officially know the names of their next governor and senator.

Now, the federal government may begin probing the Florida Democrat Party, citing “voting irregularities.”

In other words, voter fraud.

From Daily Wire:

Federal officials may be looking into charges that the Florida Democratic Party changed dates on “on forms used to fix vote-by-mail ballots sent with incorrect or missing information,” Politico reports.

Although the Florida recount examining ballots cast in both the Florida Senate and Florida gubernatorial race has been a series of massive — and often very public — errors, from allegations of misplaced and mishandled ballots to vote-counting machines being pushed so far beyond their limit they’re overheating, so far there have been only a few allegations of true “vote manipulation,” and this is the first allegation to be referred to the federal government.

The Florida Department of State says it flagged a series of “irregularities” in documents filed last week — “cure affidavits” designed to help voters fix mistakes they believe they might have made on absentee and mail-in ballots. Those affidavits were supposed to have been mailed in before Election Day and postmarked before November 5th.

While Republicans Ron DeSantis and Rick Scott were thought to have won the state’s gubernatorial and Senatorial elections, it now appears votes are being found out of thin air.

A judge says the county violated the constitution of the Sunshine State.

From Local 10:

A judge ordered Broward County Supervisor of Elections Dr. Brenda Snipes to allow immediate inspection of voter records during an emergency hearing Friday.

The court was asked to intervene in the tight U.S. Senate race between Democratic U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson and Republican Florida Gov. Rick Scott as the two sides prepare for a possible recount.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) doesn’t like what he sees.

Rubio, one more time:

A citizen captured video of people transferring ballots in a rented truck.

The huge problem is the lack of a chain of custody.

Another video:

People were seen transferring ballots without any security in sight.

Florida voter JoAnne Knox posted the following to her Facebook page:

Gather around voters;
Want to hear a story about what I witnessed at a Broward County polling site in Plantation, Fl, District 23, late last night?
At approximately 5:30 pm, I asked to witness the closing/tabulation of the vote. At first, they blew me off, and told me I had to wait for an official to arrive to make the decision.
At 6:30ish, I went back up and said I wasn’t asking anymore, I was now demanding to be able to observe.
The lady was nice enough and agreed to let me in when they closed.
At a little after 7, she called me to the door, but made me wait until the last voter had left.
By the time I was allowed to finally enter, (around 7:25) they had already started packing up and had pulled the tabulation tapes from the scanners.
What I witnessed for the next hour was a room full of people, operating 3 different precincts in the same room, frantically packing everything up and running around looking for things.
Where’s the zero starts?
Where’s the digital drives and the cases.
Who has the phones? Etc.
Packing/signing/bagging/boxing.
It was crazy.
One lady even asked me if I wanted to help. ????
They just wanted out. Quickly.
What struck me the most was the total lack of “chain of custody”.
Everything got sealed with thick plastic zip tie type fasteners.
There were green, red, and blue ones and they did have numbers on them, but, it didn’t seem to matter what color went on what and I did not see anyone logging what number zip tie sealed any given thing.
These ties were also used to seal the blue bags filled with the paper ballots
And, one thing that really stuck with me was the fact that ziplock bags of these ties were just laying around on the tables for any one to take. I kept thinking that there really was nothing guaranteeing that those ballot bags couldn’t be opened and resealed (with no way of anyone knowing).
Once they posted the results on the door, I started photographing the Congressional race tallies
It took a little while, but when finished, I headed out to my car.
As I was leaving, 2 women carrying a box marked “provisional ballots”, and a woman with a small cart that had a ballot bag on it came walking back towards the precinct building.
I was curious and asked them if they were allowed to just walk around with that stuff.
One lady told me “the truck left these out there.”
I thought, WTF?
So, of course, I took their photos.
As I turned away from them and headed out to the parking lot, I noticed there was a truck at the far end of the parking lot.
Did she not just tell me it had left?
I then noticed a long line of cars lined up leading to that truck.
Watch the video of what was happening.
At the very least, this system is extremely flawed and open every way to Sunday for the possibility of nefarious shenanigans to take place.
At worst, nefarious shenanigans ARE taking place.
Please make note that our votes are being loaded into a rental truck, not a State Official truck, heading off to parts unknown.
Please also note that some of the cars delivering the ballots to the truck only have one person in them. Rules dictate that ballots are never to be handled by fewer than 2 election officials at a time.
I also believe that these ballots are supposed to go straight from the precincts to the Supervisor of Elections warehouse, not driven to another precinct.
I wish I would have waited and followed the truck. How do we even know these ballots ended up where they were supposed to?
This is absolutely absurd and needs to be rectified.
Election integrity in this County is a joke.
This is unacceptable and should not be tolerated.
PS Please excuse the ground shots.
It was so dark where I was standing, I could barely see my screen.

Rest in peace, amigo.

When it comes to gritty guitars and even grittier songs, there is no act quite like that little ol’ band from Texas. ZZ Top mainlined American blues standards directly into the electric era of 1970’s rock, and then reinvented the genre once again with the synthesizers of the 1980’s.  From there, the band toured the world incessantly, bringing their grimy grooves and unforgettable stage presence to audiences from Dusseldorf to Delaware. Now, just weeks before the band was set to take to the road once again, one member of the holy triumvirate of honky-tonk has passed away. Dusty Hill, the bassist for ZZ Top, has died. He was 72. Billy Gibbons and Frank Beard of the Texas-based trio issued a statement to Variety on Tuesday, writing: “We are saddened by the news today that our Compadre, Dusty Hill, has passed away in his sleep at home in Houston, TX. We, along with legions of ZZ Top fans around the world, will miss your steadfast presence, your good nature and enduring commitment to providing that monumental bottom to the ‘Top’. We will forever be connected to that ‘Blues Shuffle in C.’” And then, echoing the sentiments of music fans the nation over: “You will be missed greatly, amigo,” the statement added. We couldn’t have said it better ourselves, so we’ll just leave you all with a classic. Make sure to turns those speakers up, y’all. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5WB5ouP-8c

Mask Mandates Coming Back to Capitol Hill After CDC Switcheroo

This isn’t likely to go over well with some lawmakers.

With the “delta” variant now raging in some parts of the country, and breakthrough infections of vaccinated individuals continuing to be reported, the CDC has made a stark decision, stating that even vaccinated folks should be wearing a mask when they are indoors or in parts of the country with high COVID transmission rates. This has now prompted the House of Representatives to bring back a previously criticized policy themselves. Capitol Attending Physician Brian Monahan said late Tuesday that the House of Representatives is reinstating its mask mandate – and therefore the threat of fines to members who don’t comply – following updated guidance from the Centers from Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on the delta variant of the coronavirus. The White House also appears to be going back to mandated masks. A White House press representative was seen Tuesday swapping a sign saying people are required to wear masks if unvaccinated with another saying masks are required regardless of vaccination status. Monahan didn’t leave much room for interpretation. “For the Congress, representing a collection of individuals traveling weekly from various risk areas (both high and low rates of disease transmission), all individuals should wear a well-fitted, medical-grade filtration mask (for example an ear loop surgical mask or a KN95 mask) when they are in an interior space,” Monahan said in a letter sent to congressional staffers. The move will almost certainly see pushback from the far right side of the aisle, where the mandating of masks has been a very unpopular policy, and a point of contention in almost every arena in which it has been implemented.
