#SCOTUS will take up challenge to Trump administration’s decision to end DACA, program that allowed undocumented immigrants who came to US as children – to apply for temporary protection from being deported

The #DACA cases will be argued and decided in the court’s next term, which begins in October. The justices have repeatedly denied the administration’s requests to speed up the case, so it could be a full year before we get a ruling.

BREAKING: Supreme Court agrees to hear Trump’s bid to end Obama’s DACA program. Case likely to be decided next year in the heat of the presidential campaign.

More from Fox News:

The Trump administration in 2017 announced its plan to phase out the program, but federal courts have ruled that the phase-out could not apply retroactively and that the program should be restarted.

The White House fought back on those decisions, saying the president has broad authority over immigration enforcement policy.

DACA proponents have also argued that Trump’s planned termination of the program violates federal law requiring adequate notice-and-comment periods before certain federal rules are changed, as well as other constitutional equal protection and due process guarantees.

If Bernie Sanders becomes president and has the chance to nominate a justice to the Supreme Court, his candidates have to be pro-choice.

That’s basically what he said.

From The Hill:

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) joined other 2020 Democratic hopefuls on Sunday in pledging to only nominate Supreme Court justices that support the Roe v. Wade decision protecting abortion rights.

Bernie noted, “If you’re asking me would I ever appoint a Supreme Court justice who does not believe in defending Roe vs. Wade, who does not believe that a woman has the right to control her own body, I will never do that.

Bernie weighed in on Alabama’s new anti-abortion law, saying: “What they did in Alabama was unbelievable. The idea that women in this country should not be able to control their own bodies is beyond belief.

Ted Cruz Goes Completely Savage On NYT After Paper Commits To Covering Trump As ‘Racist’

Cruz throwin’ bows!

Last week a transcript leaked of a speech by New York Times executive editor Dean Baquet as published by Slate, and part of that transcript featured Baquet admitting that since the Russia collusion stuff fell apart, they’re planning on publishing stories that claim President Trump is a racist for the rest of his presidency. This did not at all sit well with Sen. Ted Cruz who went total savage on the publication and shredded them to tiny bits over their obvious journalistic bias and abandonment of principles of integrity in their reporting. via Daily Wire: “There was a time when journalists covered ‘news.’ The NYT has given up on even pretending anymore. Today, they are Pravda, a propaganda outlet by liberals, for liberals. These remarks at their ‘town hall’ are a scandal & would be a firing offense at any real journalistic outlet,” Cruz tweeted in reference to Baquet’s remarks. https://twitter.com/tedcruz/status/1163134559862611969 Cruz then paraphrased Baquet’s remarks: “The Editor says (in effect) ‘for 2 yrs, we covered ‘Russia, Russia, Russia,’ facts be damned; now we’ll scream ‘racism, racism, racism’ for 18 mos, and the rest of the media follow us.’ That’s not journalism.” CNBC reporter John Harwood criticized Cruz’s tweet by claiming “that’s not what the editor said.” In reality, Cruz’s paraphrase is close to what Baquet said. The Times editor said that they covered the alleged Russia collusion story the way they did because they thought it looked “a certain way.” From the transcript: Chapter 1 of the story of Donald Trump, not only for our newsroom but, frankly, for our readers, was: Did Donald Trump have untoward relationships with the Russians, and was there obstruction of justice? That was a really hard story, by the way, let’s not forget that. We set ourselves up to cover that story. I’m…

PHOTOS: Democrat Lawmaker Simulates Assassination of Trump During Political Fundraiser

Imagine if the roles were reversed.

Why are Democrats still allowed to say they accept everyone? Even they know that that isn’t true. Unless you agree with the far-left 100% of the time, you’re not welcome to so much as give an opinion. Check out a Democrat state lawmaker simulating the assassination of President Trump during a recent fundraiser. Replace “Democrat” with Republican and “Trump” with Obama and imagine the outrage. A political fundraiser for @SenatorSandoval simulates an assassination attempt against a mock @realDonaldTrump decked out in Mexican garb. Looks like a man pointed a fake assault weapon at the fake President to pose for a picture. https://twitter.com/MarkMaxwellTV/status/1162782536248057856?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1162782536248057856&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.thegatewaypundit.com%2F2019%2F08%2Fpolitical-fundraiser-for-illinois-democrat-state-lawmaker-simulates-assassination-attempt-of-president-trump%2F Reactions: Now @DemsforIllinois responds: “The tragedies in El Paso and Gilroy have demonstrated how hate-filled political rhetoric can fuel violence. These images are unacceptable and dangerous. The place to make our voices heard against Trump is at the ballot box.” https://twitter.com/MarkMaxwellTV/status/1163144306577870848?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1163144306577870848&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Ftwitchy.com%2Fgregp-3534%2F2019%2F08%2F18%2Fno-big-deal-just-a-simulated-assassination-of-president-trump-at-a-fundraiser-for-an-illinois-dem%2F From @GovPritzker: “As our nation grapples with the epidemic of gun violence, purposely pointing a fake gun at anyone is insensitive and wrong. I condemn actions like the ones displayed in the pictures because they lack the civility our politics demands.” https://twitter.com/MarkMaxwellTV/status/1162867673442766853?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1162867673442766853&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Ftwitchy.com%2Fgregp-3534%2F2019%2F08%2F18%2Fno-big-deal-just-a-simulated-assassination-of-president-trump-at-a-fundraiser-for-an-illinois-dem%2F The guy later apologized… Response from @SenatorSandoval: “The incident that took place is unacceptable. I don’t condone violence toward the President or anyone else. I apologize that something like this happened at my event.” https://twitter.com/MarkMaxwellTV/status/1162974105265741824?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1162974105265741824&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.thegatewaypundit.com%2F2019%2F08%2Fpolitical-fundraiser-for-illinois-democrat-state-lawmaker-simulates-assassination-attempt-of-president-trump%2F Sandoval wants to double the gas tax in Illinois. In other words, Dandoval is a good Democrat. From Fox2Now: Illinois lawmakers want to jack up the gasoline tax. Legislation has been introduced in Springfield that would double the tax and use the revenue for major road and bridge improvements across the state. Lawmakers are trying to find ways to pay for badly needed infrastructure improvements. State Senators Don DeWitte (R-33rd District) and Martin Sandoval (D-11th District) want to more than…
