Hillary Clinton Says Trump Has Done ‘Nothing’ Right, Calls Him ‘An Authoritarian In Training’

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who lost to Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election, has doubled down on her statement calling President Trump an “authoritarian in training” who hasn’t done anything right since he took office.

You know, it seems to me there is a lot of American citizens who have a different take on the presidency of Donald Trump, especially those helped by his tax cuts and who have enjoyed increasing prosperity as the president’s policies paved the way for getting folks back to work.

Here’s more on this from The Washington Times:

“I stand by this assessment,” the twice-failed presidential candidate tweeted Wednesday afternoon. She was referring to a tweet quoting her from an interview a day earlier.

On Tuesday, Mrs. Clinton told NPR’s Audie Cornish that the president is “an authoritarian in training” who wants to undermine the rule of law, “destroy our institutions” and “set us against each other.”

“What has Donald Trump gotten right politically?” Ms. Cornish asked the former secretary of state.

“Nothing,” Mrs. Clinton answered. “Nothing.”

“From the very first day, I had hoped he would be better than I feared,” she said. “When I sat on that platform for that inauguration and I heard the speech he gave, which was divisive, violent language — the carnage in the street, setting Americans against one another — I just could not believe it.”

Clinton went on to comment on the outcome of Super Tuesday’s primary results which saw former Vice President Joe Biden make a heck of a comeback against his main opponent, Sen. Bernie Sanders.

“The hand wringing is just not necessary. I see this as signs of a vigorous Democratic Party. I see this as the energy that we need to take the fight to Donald Trump and try to elect Democratic senators and hold the House and everything else that so many people are working hard to achieve.”

The former secretary of state went on to say she is “more energized” and “ready to take on” the forces she believes are trying to tear this country apart from both the left and the right, noting she is “sick of divisiveness and destructiveness in our politics.”

Well, to be honest, the political left is largely responsible for the divisiveness we’re experiencing in this country, especially since creating that division was part of the Democrat strategy to wreck the nation and rebuild it as a socialist nightmare.

It seems Hillary’s wounds over losing that last election will just never heal.

Authorities are telling residents to shelter in place.

The citizens of Austin, Texas are on high alert Sunday afternoon after a massacre left at least three people dead with the suspect still at large as of this writing. Law enforcement has identified the suspected killer, and are scouring the city looking for clues. A massive multi-agency manhunt including the FBI and U.S. Marshals is underway in Austin for an armed suspect wanted for killing at least three people near an apartment complex late Sunday morning. Austin police said that the three lifeless bodies were all adults, including two Hispanic females, and one Black male. They said they believe the suspect is Stephen Nicholas Broderick, who is possibly a former law enforcement officer charged with sexual assault of a child last summer. Austin’s KXAN, citing an arrest affidavit, reported last June that the Travis County Sheriff’s Office detective was on administrative leave following an arrest for allegations of sexual assault. Police had some very specific ideas of what could come next in the case. The Austin Police Department said the suspect was still at large as of approximately 2:30 p.m. local time and is considered armed and dangerous. Police have urged everyone nearby to shelter in place and report suspicious activity. “We are concerned he might possibly take a hostage and be himself sheltered somewhere waiting for us to leave,” Interim Austin Police Chief Joseph Chacon said during a news conference Sunday afternoon. Police said that the victims were known to Broderick, but did not elaborate any further.

Biden Team Sends Stern Threat to Russia Over Navalny’s Health

This is just the latest escalation in the war of words between these two nations.

While every nation on this planet likely harbors some sort of terrible secret, or some evil underpinnings, no one plays the role of international bad guy quite like Russia does. The enormous nation has no real qualms about the world knowing its business, and Vladimir Putin has held onto power for as long as he as by doing the bare minimum required to keep him from being called a dictator. Beyond that, the nation appears fond of strongman-shenanigans like poisoning and jailing dissident journalists like Alexi Navalny, who is on death’s door in a Russian prison camp. If he dies, US President Joe Biden says that the Kremlin will pay the price. President Joe Biden’s national security adviser warned Sunday that there will be repercussions for Russia if Putin critic Alexei Navalny dies, amid reports that his health is rapidly deteriorating in prison. “We have communicated to the Russian government that what happens to Mr. Navalny in their custody is their responsibility and they will be held accountable by the international community,” Jake Sullivan said on CNN’s “State of the Union.” Biden has had a fairly poor relationship with Russia doing his first few months in office, with the two nations issuing not-so-subtle statements and threats in each others’ direction.
