How Are the Lakers Liking Him Now? LeBron James Plays His Career-Worst Quarter EVER

Los Angeles was very excited when LeBron James came to town. Oh, it was “King James” this, and “King James” that. But since James came to the city, the Lakers have tumbled almost to the bottom of the league. And last weekend, James had the worst quarter of his entire 16-year career.

The Los Angeles Lakers were toppled by the New York Knicks in a 124-123 final and James was a major part of that loss.

In a quarter culminating in what could have been James’ game-winning shot blocked by Mario Hezonja, James went 4-for-15 from the field in the fourth quarter, ESPN reported. His whopping eleven missed shots became the worst quarter in his career.

To make matters worse, the March 17 game with the Knicks marks the New Yorkers’ only sweep of the year. The Knicks are one of the worst teams in the league, but the Lakers were the only team they were able to sweep all season.

The Lakers did rise to take the momentum in that final quarter, but with repeated misses, it just wasn’t enough to drag the game into the win column.

James was dutifully dour over the loss.

“It bothers me in the fact we didn’t close the game out and being the competitor that I am, it bothers me that I didn’t make enough plays down the stretch; it bothers me that I didn’t even get a shot up at the hoop,” James said after the game. “Of course, that stuff bothers me, but I mean what’s the difference between their record and our record? Two teams out of the postseason. So there’s no difference. We have a couple more wins than them, but both teams right now are on the outside looking in, so it’s not much of a difference.”

But James also insisted the Lakers want to be winners.

“Listen, at the end of the day this franchise wants to win and wants to win big, and the one thing about the franchise, they cater to the players,” James said. “And that’s it. Everything else comes secondary, they only want us to go out and perform at a high level and play the game at a high level so we can be mentioned with some of the great teams that’s in the league at that point in time. ”

LeBron James And Other Members Of The Lakers Sport Mock MAGA Hats

On Tuesday evening, prior to the first-round playoff series game against the Portland Trailblazers, members of the Los Angeles Lakers, including NBA legend LeBron James, rocked mock MAGA caps which had the words, “Great Again,” crossed out and replaced with “Arrest the cops who killed Breonna Taylor.” James, easily one of the biggest influences in modern sports, also wore a shirt that said “By Any Means” on it, while also posting up the slogan on Instagram, writing, “By Any Means!! Lets Get It #JusticeForBreonnaTaylor.” Now, to be fair, what happened to Taylor is absolutely horrific and absolutely uncalled for. The woman was shot while in her bed and there’s definitely reason to be angry about this situation being unresolved. The real issue here is whether or not it’s acceptable to participate in political activism while on the job. Do we really need to politicize sports like we have the rest of life? via The Daily Wire: Some of the other members of the Lakers squad who donned the mock MAGA hats included Anthony Davis, Dwight Howard, Jared Dudley, Quinn Cook, Rajon Rondo, Danny Green, and JR Smith, as The Daily Mail reported. After the game, James told reporters, “You know the situation that’s going on in Louisville, Kentucky. An innocent woman being killed, by the name of Breonna Taylor. A woman who had a bright future. Her life was taken away from her. There’s been no arrests, there’s been no justice, not only for her, but for her family … We want to continue to shed light on that situation because it’s just unjust. That’s what it’s about.” https://twitter.com/NBAonTNT/status/1295942946198417408 Last month, James told reporters at a press conference, “The same energy that we have on the floor is the same energy that we have towards having justice for Breonna Taylor…

President Trump Says That If Biden Stands Up And Breathes, Media Will Call It ‘One Of The Greatest Debate Performances In History’

Published

Conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt recently conducted an interview with President Donald Trump in which he asked him about the debates coming down the pike with Democratic presumptive nominee Joe Biden, and what Trump had to say is both hilarious and sadly true. Trump said, “You know the way it is, the fake news. If he stands up and if he is able to breathe, and if he’s able to walk off the platform, they’ll say it was one of the greatest debate performances in history.” He’s right, you know. The mainstream media will ignore any idiotic or nonsensical things Biden, in his declining mental state, might say, and just as they made a big deal of his ability to ride a bike, acting as if that was all it took to verify his fitness for office, they will play up the fact he showed up as some sort of grand accomplishment. Here’s more from The Daily Wire: Hewitt prompted Trump by asserting, “The expectations of the vice president are being lowered by the hour. I think if he just stands up for an hour, that will lead the media to declare him a winner. I appreciate that you nominated me to be a moderator. I don’t think the debate commission will give you anyone remotely close to being as tough on Biden as they are on you. Do you think they’re lowering expectations for Joe Biden for the debates?” Trump answered, “Well, I’m not lowering expectations. Everyone else is. I’m not. I don’t do that. Look, whoever shows up, I watched him with Bernie Sanders, and he did okay. I wouldn’t say he was Winston Churchill.” “Yes, he did,” the host replied. “But he got through,” Trump continued. “But you know the way it is, the fake news. If…
