Los Angeles was very excited when LeBron James came to town. Oh, it was “King James” this, and “King James” that. But since James came to the city, the Lakers have tumbled almost to the bottom of the league. And last weekend, James had the worst quarter of his entire 16-year career.

The Los Angeles Lakers were toppled by the New York Knicks in a 124-123 final and James was a major part of that loss.

In a quarter culminating in what could have been James’ game-winning shot blocked by Mario Hezonja, James went 4-for-15 from the field in the fourth quarter, ESPN reported. His whopping eleven missed shots became the worst quarter in his career.

To make matters worse, the March 17 game with the Knicks marks the New Yorkers’ only sweep of the year. The Knicks are one of the worst teams in the league, but the Lakers were the only team they were able to sweep all season.

The Lakers did rise to take the momentum in that final quarter, but with repeated misses, it just wasn’t enough to drag the game into the win column.

James was dutifully dour over the loss.

“It bothers me in the fact we didn’t close the game out and being the competitor that I am, it bothers me that I didn’t make enough plays down the stretch; it bothers me that I didn’t even get a shot up at the hoop,” James said after the game. “Of course, that stuff bothers me, but I mean what’s the difference between their record and our record? Two teams out of the postseason. So there’s no difference. We have a couple more wins than them, but both teams right now are on the outside looking in, so it’s not much of a difference.”

But James also insisted the Lakers want to be winners.

“Listen, at the end of the day this franchise wants to win and wants to win big, and the one thing about the franchise, they cater to the players,” James said. “And that’s it. Everything else comes secondary, they only want us to go out and perform at a high level and play the game at a high level so we can be mentioned with some of the great teams that’s in the league at that point in time. ”

MLB Fans on Twitter Slam New Trend of ‘Flopping’ Baserunners

Shameful and unsportsmanlike.

There is nothing more purely infuriating in the world of sports than watching professional athlete, often being paid an exorbitant sum to play a children’s game, decide to play the referees and not the game itself. We see this fairly often in soccer, as players attempt to draw a foul by exaggerating the contact made with another player, hoping to goad an official into handing over a free kick or some other advantage. This “flopping” has migrated to the NBA as well, with LeBron James standing accused of near-constant exaggeration. But baseball?  Oh, you had better believe that this unsportsmanlike charade has begun to make an appearance in America’s national pastime…and fans are not happy about it. https://twitter.com/mlberrors/status/1394025677880496135?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1394025677880496135%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_c10&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.breitbart.com%2Fsports%2F2021%2F05%2F16%2Fwatch-mlb-players-are-flopping-like-lebron-james-its-ugly%2F https://twitter.com/mlberrors/status/1394025677880496135?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1394025677880496135%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_c10&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.breitbart.com%2Fsports%2F2021%2F05%2F16%2Fwatch-mlb-players-are-flopping-like-lebron-james-its-ugly%2F https://twitter.com/tipping_pitches/status/1394024367785455616?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1394024367785455616%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_c10&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.breitbart.com%2Fsports%2F2021%2F05%2F16%2Fwatch-mlb-players-are-flopping-like-lebron-james-its-ugly%2F https://twitter.com/newballpark/status/1394021344140881920?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1394021344140881920%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_c10&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.breitbart.com%2Fsports%2F2021%2F05%2F16%2Fwatch-mlb-players-are-flopping-like-lebron-james-its-ugly%2F Some fans were also concerned that the umpires and officials were unable to employ video review for the play, thanks to the way in which the rules surrounding the use of that technology were written.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has foolishly agreed to allow a man claiming to be a woman to enter the weightlifting competition as a woman, and now that man is set to utterly destroy every natural-born female in the games. New Zealander Laurel Hubbard, 43, was born a man, but is now claiming to be a female weightlifter. And so far, every single competition he’s entered as a woman, he has made the natural-born female contestants look like 90-pound weaklings. And now that Hubbard has been allowed to join the New Zealand team, he is set to destroy every natural-born female contestant who will compete in Tokyo. Hubbard fell to sixth in 2019 after suffering an injury, but he is now fit and ready to go. Hubbard competed as a man for years in New Zealand, but seven years ago began transitioning to a female. Hubbard is now set to compete in the women’s 87-plus kg division in the Australian Open in Canberra on Sunday, NBC reports. The New Zealander won last month’s World Cup in Rome, lifting 270kg to beat Ukraine’s Anastasiia Lysenko by 4kg. Olympics candidates need to complete six events or more in the 18 months before the Olympic tryouts to qualify. Hubbard has qualified to compete as a woman per the newest rules put in place by the International Weightlifting Federation’s guidelines as well as the International Olympic Committee’s rules. Natural-born men who wish to compete as a woman must have testosterone levels are below ten nanomoles per liter for at least a year before their first competition, the IOC says. The IOC’s rules are not without controversy, though. The IOC recently shelved attempts to change its rules, but pulled back when the committee’s own scientists could not agree on standards. Hubbard has been tearing through…
