California Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters is arguably President Trump’s loudest critic in Congress.

As a progressive, she’s constantly being covered for by the mainstream media. It’s good to be a liberal in the 21st century.

What’s interesting is this story about Waters, paying her daughter $50,000 from her campaign funds.

From Free Beacon:

Rep. Maxine Waters (D., Calif.) paid $50,000 from her campaign’s coffers to her daughter in recent months to chip away at six figures of accrued debt for an operation that pulls in large sums of money for the congresswoman’s campaign committee, Federal Election Commission filings show.

Rep. Waters’s committee disbursed two payments to her daughter, Karen, in the amounts of $42,000 and $8,000 during the first quarter, which runs from Jan. 1 to March 31. The $50,000 in payments were made to Karen for running a slate mailer, or endorsement mailer, operation from the campaign and were the most paid out by the committee for any activity throughout the first three months of the year.

Continued:

Waters’s campaign committee reported $94,000 of debts owed to her daughter in pre-general midterm election filings submitted to the FEC on Oct. 17, 2018. However, this amount shot up $90,000 in a matter of weeks to $183,022.15, the Washington Free Beacon previously reported.

Now, Waters’s campaign reports $182,383 in total debts and obligations after the first quarter and following the recent $50,000 in payments. An overwhelming majority of this amount—$133,022.15—is marked as debt still owed to Karen, who already directly pocketed $108,000 from the campaign during the midterm elections.

On Easter Sunday, Maxine appeared on Joy-Ann Reid’s MSNBC show.

She made it abundantly clear: If you stand with President Trump, you are not a proud American patriot.

Because that makes sense, right?

Maxine noted, “One of the things you have to think about is this; who are the patriots? Who will stand up for America when our obvious enemy is basically hacking into our electoral systems? Who is going to stand up for America and claim to be a patriot when they see that there are many people around this president who have interacted with those from Russia, from the Kremlin, and with Putin? Where are they coming from? And I think when you ask yourself this question, you’d better be concerned about whether or not these are real patriots or whether or not they’re in the pockets of the president of the United States wishing to gain favor from the president and they’re going to stand up for him no matter what.

Waters added, “And so I call out their patriotism at this point this time. You take a look at this report, and you will be shocked at the information that’s unfolding.

Oh, Max, Max, Max. Enough is enough!

This is just irritating.

Trump Wants Senate Trial, Calls For Schiff And Whistleblower To Be Impeachment Witnesses

Published

on

President Trump called into “Fox & Friends” on Friday morning where he made a call for a Senate impeachment trial and for said he wants House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff and the whistleblower — along with others — to be called as witnesses. Here’s more from Fox News: “There’s nothing there,” Trump declared, claiming “there should never be an impeachment” and he “doesn’t know” the majority of the witnesses. But following a meeting with senators a day earlier, the president announced on the show that if the House impeaches, “Frankly, I want a trial.” He stressed that Senate trial would provide the opportunity to call other witnesses — including Hunter Biden, whose dealings in Ukraine were at the heart of what he wanted investigated out of Kiev, and especially Schiff. “There’s only one person I want more than ‘Where’s Hunter?’ and that is Adam Schiff,” Trump said. Trump blasted Schiff’s dramatic reading of the transcribed phone call he had with Ukraine’s president and then challenged his claim to not know the identity of the whistleblower, saying, “I want to see Adam Schiff testify about the whistleblower.” The president also stated that he wants to hear from the “fake whistleblower. He went on to say that “everybody” knows the individual’s identity already. Watch the latest video at foxnews.com

Kanye West Held Worship Service For Prison Inmates, Atheist Group Argues It Violated Constitution

Published

on

Popular rap artist and born again Christian Kanye West recently held a surprise worship service in a county jail a week ago to share the hope of the gospel with those who are oh so desperate for the hope it provides. However, this gesture of good will did not seem to go over well with atheist group Freedom From Religion Foundation. The group sent a letter to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez on Monday stating that a “church service” like the one West held in the jail should never happen again and that it violated the Constitution. Here’s more from TheBlaze: “It is our understanding that Harris County Sheriff officials organized two concerts for inmates and staff on Friday, November 15,” the letter recalls. “Kanye West and his choir performed songs from West’s recent religious album, ‘Jesus Is King,’ and the performances were ‘really more like a church service,’ a sentiment you explicitly and publicly admitted. Photos suggest this is true, too.” The “photos” in reference show one tweet by Sheriff Gonzalez saying, “[Kanye West] and his choir brought some light and #churchservice to people who needed it today at the Harris County Jail,” and another recalling West’s words to inmates that “this is a mission, not a show.” “In short, this was unconstitutional,” the atheist group’s letter said, arguing that the inmates didn’t really have a choice — “nobody believes there is a genuine choice between sitting in a cramped, locked cell, and listening to a two-hour long concert.” “This constitutional violation is particularly egregious because it imposed religion on inmates — literally a captive audience — who have a deep and immediate interest in being seen favorably by [Sheriff Gonzalez] and [his] staff.” “It is no excuse that Kayne West is famous,” the letter reads. Jason Spencer, a spokesman for…
