INTEL REPORT: China and Russia Colluded on Timing of Ukraine Invasion
From the moment that Russian troops began being thrust unceremoniously unto the Ukrainian countryside, there were fears that this wasn’t just about Ukraine.  Rather, the world saw the incursion for what it was:  Vladimir Putin’s last folly as the Russian dictator, who is now less than two years away from the average male life expectancy in Mother Russia.
And we now know that there are plans to take Moldova next, at least if the bumbling Belarusian President’s maps are to be believed.
We also understand that Russia cannot do this alone, particularly financially, as the invasion looks to bring crippling economic sanctions to Moscow.
It has been long believed that China would be willing to finance Russia’s military machine as these operations take place, but now we have evidence that they were also involved in planning the timing of the Ukraine offensive.
Senior Biden administration officials and a European official told The New York Times that there was an intelligence report that said China asked Russia to delay its invasion of Ukraine until after the Olympics.
The classified intelligence was shared among multiple governments, although sources told The Times it is not known how many nations saw the report or what different interpretations countries drew from the intelligence.
Beijing has refused to implement sanctions against Russia for this Ukrainian invasion as well, leading to plenty of concerns over their potential role in a coming global conflict.
