Iran Found to Be Preparing Attack on US...Trump Responds in BIG Way
For decades, the tension between the United States and Iran has been boiling.
The Islamic regime in Iran isn’t known for their first-world attitude or their willingness to participate in the international community, and the horrific human rights abuses on display in that country, particularly when it comes to the oppression of women, have many in the United States sickened. Multiple uprisings by the people of Iran, once a modern, high-fashion nation, have bene quelled violently by this regime, despite global support for the Persian people.
This animosity has led the Iranian regime to allegedly beginning planning attacks on US targets – a shocking development that has the Trump administration responding in a swift and severe manner.
The United States is deploying an aircraft carrier strike group and a bomber task force to the Middle East on short notice in response to “clear indications” Iran and Iranian proxies were planning an attack on U.S. forces in the region, a U.S. official said.
Late Sunday night, the White House made a surprise announcement that the USS Abraham Lincoln and a bomber task force were being deployed in response to unspecified “troubling and escalatory indications and warnings.”
US security officials were none too pleased, and it showed in their stern language.
A statement from National Security Adviser John Bolton said the deployments were intended “to send a clear and unmistakable message to the Iranian regime that any attack on United States interests or on those of our allies will be met with unrelenting force.”
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo indicated that there was already a plan in place to move American forces to the region, but those plans were expedited by this latest escalation.
