Jimmy Kimmel's Rant on Christian Baker Jack Phillips Reaches Astounding New Low
It’s not enough for the left that the majority of the mainstream culture completely supports homosexual and transgender culture.
They’ve got to weed out, brutally mock, and destroy anyone who might privately feel otherwise.
This has always been the agenda behind the attack against small business owners who politely decline to provide their services for same-sex weddings–even when, as is often the case, they are happy to serve the happy couple in any other business capacity.
The left can’t be happy that same-sex weddings are legal, they demand everyone agree with same-sex weddings too.
So when Jimmy Kimmel caught wind that Jack Phillips, the Christian baker who declined to bake a cake for a same-sex wedding, was once again facing action from the Colorado Human Rights Commission after the Supreme Court found that the Commission unfairly reviewed his case, he couldn’t help shooting for the jugular.
Going for a tried-and-true line of reasoning from the pro-LGBT left, Kimmel joked around on his show this week that Phillips was probably a closeted homosexual himself.
“It’s funny because this is a guy who spends all day, every day, meticulously designing flowers out of icing. His whole life is gay, okay?” he said, according to Mediaite. “I don’t know if the wrong cake might bring that to life or what.”
He then mocked the “totally straight cake baker” for his appearance.
“You would think that someone who looks like the Reba McEntire version of Colonel Sanders would be more sympathetic to gender identity issues,” he said.
Right.
Because anyone who bakes cakes for a living and opposes homosexuality must be a closeted homosexual, right?
Phillip’s latest run-in with the Colorado Human Rights Commission is over what Phillips believes is a targeted attack from a transgender attorney for whom he refused to bake a “transition” cake.
As the Daily Caller reported, it was the first of a series of vulgar and harassing requests:
On the same day the high court agreed to review the Masterpiece case, an attorney named Autumn Scardina called Phillips’ shop and asked him to create a cake celebrating a sex transition. The caller asked that the cake include a blue exterior and a pink interior, a reflection of Scardina’s transgender identity. Phillips declined to create the cake, given his religious conviction that sex is immutable, while offering to sell the caller other pre-made baked goods. In the months that followed, the bakery received requests for cakes featuring marijuana use, sexually explicit messages, and Satanic symbols. One solicitation submitted by email asked the cake shop to create a three-tiered white cake depicting Satan licking a functional 9 inch dildo. Phillips believes Scardina made all these requests.
Of course, liberals like Kimmel think that Phillips should be legally required to bake all these types of cakes, no matter how offensive to his personal beliefs.
So why is it, I ask you, that when an adult would like to live their lives dressed up as the opposite sex, we are all expected to completely validate their belief that they are in fact the opposite sex, but when a male Christian baker believes that participating in something like a same-sex wedding or a “transition” ceremony conflicts with his deeply held religious beliefs, clearly there’s some deep-seated sexual conflict going on?
Right.
