Eric Holder, the only cabinet-level official to be held in contempt of Congress in the history of the United States, has some big news.

According to CNN’s April Ryan, Obama-era Attorney General Holder will deliver a “major speech” in Iowa in February.

Will he declare his bid for the presidency?

Ryan thinks so.

Holder would also be running against a very crowded Democrat field, in which several top Democrats including Sens. Kamala Harris (D-CA), Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), Sherrod Brown (D-OH), Cory Booker (D-NJ), Gov. Jay Inslee of Washington, Gov. Andrew Cuomo of New York, Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI), former Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Julian Castro, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, former Rep. Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke (D-TX), former Vice President Joe Biden, and potentially many others are either already running or considering getting in.

It’s hard to forget about his role in Operation Fast and Furious.

SMH.

As for President Trump’s chances in 2020, things are certainly looking up, as a Republican will remain governor in swing states Ohio and Florida.

What does filmmaker and noted Trump-basher Michael Moore think of Dems’ chances?

From Free Beacon:

Liberal activist and filmmaker Michael Moore on Wednesday said President Donald Trump is a “tumor” on the political system but predicted he will hold onto the White House in 2020 if Democrats don’t run a “beloved American” or non-politician.

Moore appeared on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” to discuss the midterm election results from Tuesday night and how they will affect the 2020 election. He said Trump is a “tumor on our democracy” but noted Democratic victories caused the “tumor” to shrink last night.

Joe Biden does not appear to have the support of Barack Obama when it comes to running for president.

Obama wants to see “new blood” in 2020.

From The Hill:

Former President Obama’s talk about how politics need “new blood” is being seen as a blow to Joe Biden, the former vice president that Obama did not back to succeed him in 2016.

[…]

But they also acknowledge recent remarks like the one Obama made this week in Hawaii represent a sort of threat to Biden, who has told allies in recent days that he’s likely to enter the 2020 presidential race.

According to Biden, he’s the “most qualified person in the country to be president.”

From Fox News:

Former Vice President Joe Biden said he would decide if he’s running for president in 2020 soon. But in the meantime, he’s confident he is up for the job.

Biden: “I think I’m the most qualified person in the country to be president. The issues that we face as a country today are the issues that I’ve worked on my whole life.

No one doubts what I say; the problem is I sometimes say all that I mean. The question is what kind of nation are we becoming?
