Ken Starr Sounds Off On 'Phony Impeachment,' Says It Will Be A 'Footnote' In History Books

Ken Starr confirmed on Sunday what every conservative has known for quite some time: the impeachment of President Trump was nothing more than a complete charade that holds next to zero weight. Good going, liberals. Once again, you’ve accomplished nothing.

The whole point of impeachment, from the beginning, was to leave a stain on Trump’s record. As of December 2019, his presidential resume remains spotless. POTUS has built a strong economy by putting people back to work. For some reason, Democrats can’t stand it.

From Daily Wire:

Judge Ken Starr, whose investigation into former President Bill Clinton ultimately led to Clinton’s impeachment, slammed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi over the weekend for how the Democrats conducted their impeachment investigation into President Donald Trump, saying that it was a “phony impeachment” and will be remembered in the history books with a “footnote” or an “asterisk.”

Starr made the remarks during a Fox News segment on Saturday in response to Democrat impeachment witness Noah Feldman, a Harvard legal scholar who said, in a recent op-ed, that Trump has not been impeached and, if Pelosi does not send the articles of impeachment to the Senate, “Trump could legitimately say that he wasn’t truly impeached at all.”

WATCH:

Progressive law professor Noah Feldman says Trump may not actually be impeached yet, since Nancy Pelosi is holding the articles of impeachment. Ken Starr says meh… not so much. But Pelosi is committing “an abuse of House power.” And a quid pro quo?

1. Nancy Pelosi was apparently advised by leftwing Harvard law professor Lawrence Tribe to delay sending the impeachment to the Senate. So she’s unilaterally sitting on the impeachment. This is another brazen unconstitutional act.

2. Here’s what Mitch McConnell and the Senate Republicans must do in response: The Senate has the sole power under the Constitution to adjudicate an impeachment. Therefore, Pelosi is attempting to obstruct the Senate’s power to act on its constitutional authority.

3. McConnell should immediately put an end to this and declare the impeachment null and void as the speaker has failed to complete the impeachment process by timely sending it to the Senate for adjudication.

4. McConnell has no less authority to unilaterally make such a decision than Pelosi does to withhold the administrative notification of an impeachment to the Senate either indefinitely or w/ conditions. Her effort to cripple the presidency & blackmail the Senate must be defeated.
