Kremlin Claims That United States is Preparing Invasion

This could be one of the most incredibly bizarre claims out of the Kremlin in years…and that’s saying something.

Russia

In what could only be described as the third weirdest news of the day, the Russian government is sounding the alarm on a possible American invasion.

Of course, we have President Trump in Vietnam this week, meeting with diminutive despot Kim Jong Un regarding the denuclearization of the North Korean nation, and a reunification of the whole Korea. This in and of itself is absolutely extraordinary, given the six-plus decades in which North Korea’s only real interaction with the United States was nuclear saber rattling and amateurish propaganda.

Then, without a doubt, we have Michael Cohen testifying before Congress today, after having been convicted of lying under oath, regarding President Trump’s alleged coziness with Russia – a popular democratic conspiracy theory.

Now, the Kremlin is unleashing a little conspiracy theory of their own…this time about purported and upcoming US intervention in Venezuela.

Russian Security Council secretary Nikolai Patrushev claims the US is amassing troops near the Venezuelan border ahead of a military operation in the south American country.

US forces have been deployed to “overthrow the lawfully elected incumbent president [of Venezuela] Nicolas Maduro”, he said.

The US has called on Maduro, president since 2013 after succeeding the late Hugo Chávez, to stand down after claiming his 2018 snap election win was marred by vote-rigging.

Maduro’s reign has been tainted by a near-complete collapse of the socialist nation’s economy.

Not only are Venezuelans suffering from incredibly egregious rates of inflation, but their currency has been so diluted that many are being forced to eat their pets, as well as stray dogs and cats as well.

Battered Woman In Jail For Not Having Concealed-Carry Permit After Shooting Father Of Children Who Attacked Her

Published

on

A 29-year-old woman is still behind bars after shooting the father of her children in self-defense, all because she did not have a concealed-carry permit for the weapon she possessed. The man, meanwhile, has been released on bond. Police told the Herald & Review that the woman in question had a shunt in her head from a previous injury, thus a blow to that area of the body could prove to be fatal. In response to the assault, the woman shot the man out of self-defense. TheBlaze has the latest: The man was hospitalized for a shot to his right side, the paper said, adding that police contacted the woman who voluntarily came to the police station for questioning. Sgt. Chris Copeland told the Herald & Review the woman had several injuries to her face from the man battering her. The man was arrested and is facing preliminary charges of domestic battery and unlawful vehicular invasion, the paper said, adding that he posted $10,000 bond. But the woman — who’s not facing charges for the shooting — is facing a preliminary charge of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon for lack of a concealed carry license, the Herald & Review reported. She was being held in lieu of $75,000, the paper added. This same scenario happened just last week when a woman in Chicago was attacked by a teenager who tried to take her property. The woman was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon because she didn’t have a concealed carry license.

Impeachment Articles Against President Trump Approved By House Judiciary Committee

Published

on

In a pair of party-line votes, the House Judiciary Committee approved two articles of impeachment against President Trump Friday morning. TheBlaze has more information on how things went down: One article of impeachment is for alleged abuse of power in his administration’s interactions with Ukraine earlier this year, the other is for obstruction of Congress during the House’s subsequent investigation into the Ukraine controversy. Both were introduced by House Democrats earlier this week. The committee voted on each article of impeachment separately, passing each by a party-line vote of 23 to 17, with Democrats in favor and Republicans opposed. Friday morning’s vote came after two days of heated committee deliberations over the articles, during which Republicans offered multiple amendments to the language, none of which were adopted. On Thursday evening, committee chairman Jerry Nadler decided to stop the proceedings and move them to the next morning, stating that he wanted to give legislatures time “to think about what has happened over these last two days and to search their consciences before we cast our final votes.” Republican Doug Collins slammed the decision, referring to it as a “bush-league stunt,’ saying he and his colleagues were not consulted on the changes that were made. Nadler made a few quick remarks after the vote, saying “today is a solemn and sad day,” and that “the House will act expeditiously” on the matter of impeachment. https://twitter.com/ABCPolitics/status/1205513763991900161
