HOST RICK SANCHEZ: You know it’s interesting. As I listen to you I’m thinking that both you and I are old enough to remember that there was a lot of antagonism during the 1960s. There was a lot of antagonism during Watergate. There was certainly antagonism during the Clinton years. But there is something, maybe it’s an undercurrent, that is different now. Can you put your finger on it? What is it?

KING: Two things, Rick — the internet and cable news. Could you imagine cable news in Watergate? And they don’t do news anymore. In fact, RT is one of the few channels doing news. RT does news. CNN stopped doing news a long time ago. They do Trump. Fox is Trump TV and MSNBC is anti-Trump all the time. You don’t see a story — there was vicious winds and storms in the Northeast the other day – not covered on any of the three cable networks, not covered. Not covered! So when CNN started covering Trump — they were the first — they covered every speech he made and then they made Trump the story. So, Trump is the story in America. I would bet that ninety-eight percent of all Americans mention his name at least once a day. And when it’s come to that, when you focus on one man, I know Donald 40 years — I know the good side of Donald and I know the bad side of Donald — I think he would like to be a dictator. I think he would love to be able to just run things. So, he causes a lot of this. Then his fight with the media and fake news. I’ve been in the media a long time, like you — longer than you, Rick. And at all my years at CNN, in my years at Mutual Radio, I have never seen a conversation where a producer said to a host “pitch the story this way. Angle it that way. Don’t tell the truth.” Never saw it. Never saw it.

SANCHEZ: You know it’s funny, just quick because you know these producers are telling me you guys have to start wrapping this up … you said something interesting about how CNN played along with Trump. I think they only played along or at least gave him that much airtime in many ways because they didn’t think he was going to win, correct?

KING: I guess it’s to their regret. But, they covered him as a character. They carried every speech he made. They carried him more than Fox News, at the beginning. And so they built the whole thing up and the Republicans had a lot of candidates and they all had weaknesses. When I saw Senator Cruz hug Donald Trump the other day I said, “this is what America has become.” He said that Cruz’s father helped kill Kennedy!

A former state senator from Ohio and current head of a progressive PAC, Nina Turner took to CNN to bash President Trump for his rhetoric.

This comes in the aftermath of 11 people killed at a Pittsburgh synagogue by a deranged Trump-hating madman named Robert Bowers.

From Mediaite:

As the nation comes to terms with 11 deaths following Saturday’s anti-Semitic shooting at a Pittsburgh synagogue, questions are being raised over the influence of President Donald Trump‘s divisive tone. On CNN’s State of the Union the panel was very animated on the topic.

Nina Turner, a former Ohio state senator and current president of progressive PAC Our Revolution, said the Commander-in-chief’s role in fostering a politically charged environment couldn’t be ignored.

According to Turner, Trump “does have to take some responsibility for the type of racist vile climate that we find ourselves in, which, Jake, is not new. This is in the DNA of America, so I’m surprised that people are surprised. What is happening is that what is in our root as a country is bubbling up now, and that’s what people are surprised [by].”

Former Trump campaign strategist David Urban took a somewhat opposing view, arguing the issue was a lack of regulations surrounding speech online, referring to Gab, the social networking site where the synagogue shooter posted hate-filled content before his attack.

Urban added: “That vitriol builds upon vitriol and allows people to think, ‘Well, it’s ok for me to do that. This is kind of like the broken window theory of policing. If we don’t push back on the small broken windows that occur in the internet and that allows bigger crimes to occur like this.”

Turner virtually said the same exact thing back in 2016, also on CNN.

WATCH:

Turner also recently claimed that Democrats need to stop talking down to voters, per The Hill:

Progressive activist and former Ohio state Sen. Nina Turner says Democrats could do a better job of reaching rural America, warning that the party still has not learned its lessons from the 2016 presidential election.

[…]

“It just really makes me angry to hear elite-type politicians talk down to anybody, but I especially see that when it comes to our rural communities that just because they believe a certain way or they tend to vote a certain way that they don’t understand what they’re doing,” Turner told Hill.TV “Rising” co-host Krystal Ball during an interview that aired on Friday.

BOMBSHELL: Shocking New Report Shows Trump Is Making America LESS Racist (Details)

And BOOOOOOOMMM goes the dynamite!

Do you like apples? A new report shows that since President Trump has been in office, America is a less racist country than most liberals want the politically uninformed to believe. How do you like them apples? From Spectator: […] Americans, claim Hopkins and Washington, have actually become less inclined to express racist opinions since Donald Trump was elected. Anti-black prejudice, they found, declined by a statistically-insignificant degree between 2012 and 2016, when Trump was elected. But then after 2016 it took a sharp dive that was statistically significant. Moreover, contrary to their expectations, the fall was as evident among Republican voters as it was among Democrats. There was also a general fall in anti-Hispanic prejudice, too, although this was more evident among Democrat voters. It is a similar story to that in Britain, where the attempt to link Brexit with rising xenophobia has been somewhat debunked. A murder of a Polish man in the town of Harlow in August 2016 was widely attributed to Brexit – but eventually declared by police not to have been a hate crime at all. Similarly, a smashed window in a Spanish restaurant in South London on the night of the Brexit vote was initially widely reported to be an expression of euphoria on the part of xenophobes – but was later revealed to be an attempted burglary. According to freshman Democrat Rep. Rashida Tlaib, all Congressional Democrats are racist. No joke. She actually said that, revealing what conservatives have known to be true for decades. Did Tlaib mean to say it, though? IT SURE LOOKS THAT WAY. Here’s how it all started… A woman sent a tweet arguing that Democrats are not doing enough to protect embattled Dem Rep. Ilhan Omar (MN)… The attacks on @IlhanMN and subsequent lack of support from Democratic…

BUSTED! Joe Biden Vowed to Ban Sanctuary Cities During Second Run for POTUS In 2007

Hey, Joe – DO YOU REMEMBER THIS!?

John Salvatore

1988. 2008. And now, 2020. Former Vice President Joe Biden is attempting to become president of the United States for the third time. Back in 2007 at a New Hampshire primary debate, handsy Joe was asked about “sanctuary cities.” He said he wouldn’t allow them. Biden’s exchange with New England Cable News’s Alison King went as follows: KING: I’d like to hear from Senator Biden, would you allow these cities to ignore the federal law? [Emphasis added] BIDEN: The reason that cities ignore the federal law is the fact that there is no funding at the federal level to provide for the kind of enforcement at the federal level you need … Part of the problem is you have to have a federal government that can enforce laws. This administration’s been fundamentally derelict in not funding any of the requirements that are needed even to enforce the existing law… [Emphasis added] … KING: So Senator Biden, yes or no, would you allow those cities to ignore the federal law? [Emphasis added] BIDEN: No. [Emphasis added] With everything Joe has said over the years, how in the world is this man the Democrat frontrunner? It’s almost baffling. Almost. The former VP can’t seem to escape his gaffe-prone ways, yet continues to remain in the public eye. When it comes down to it and Joe goes head-to-head with President Trump in the 2020 general election, Biden stands an excellent chance of being a thrice failed candidate for POTUS. Check out this recently unearthed clip of Biden sounding eerily similar to Trump when it comes to Mexico – and it’s not from that long ago. LOOK: A review of rhetoric from Joe Biden’s record on immigration. It included boasting about needing a 700 mile fence to stop “tons…tons…tons” of drugs from “corrupt Mexico”…
