HOST RICK SANCHEZ: You know it’s interesting. As I listen to you I’m thinking that both you and I are old enough to remember that there was a lot of antagonism during the 1960s. There was a lot of antagonism during Watergate. There was certainly antagonism during the Clinton years. But there is something, maybe it’s an undercurrent, that is different now. Can you put your finger on it? What is it?

KING: Two things, Rick — the internet and cable news. Could you imagine cable news in Watergate? And they don’t do news anymore. In fact, RT is one of the few channels doing news. RT does news. CNN stopped doing news a long time ago. They do Trump. Fox is Trump TV and MSNBC is anti-Trump all the time. You don’t see a story — there was vicious winds and storms in the Northeast the other day – not covered on any of the three cable networks, not covered. Not covered! So when CNN started covering Trump — they were the first — they covered every speech he made and then they made Trump the story. So, Trump is the story in America. I would bet that ninety-eight percent of all Americans mention his name at least once a day. And when it’s come to that, when you focus on one man, I know Donald 40 years — I know the good side of Donald and I know the bad side of Donald — I think he would like to be a dictator. I think he would love to be able to just run things. So, he causes a lot of this. Then his fight with the media and fake news. I’ve been in the media a long time, like you — longer than you, Rick. And at all my years at CNN, in my years at Mutual Radio, I have never seen a conversation where a producer said to a host “pitch the story this way. Angle it that way. Don’t tell the truth.” Never saw it. Never saw it.

SANCHEZ: You know it’s funny, just quick because you know these producers are telling me you guys have to start wrapping this up … you said something interesting about how CNN played along with Trump. I think they only played along or at least gave him that much airtime in many ways because they didn’t think he was going to win, correct?

KING: I guess it’s to their regret. But, they covered him as a character. They carried every speech he made. They carried him more than Fox News, at the beginning. And so they built the whole thing up and the Republicans had a lot of candidates and they all had weaknesses. When I saw Senator Cruz hug Donald Trump the other day I said, “this is what America has become.” He said that Cruz’s father helped kill Kennedy!

A former state senator from Ohio and current head of a progressive PAC, Nina Turner took to CNN to bash President Trump for his rhetoric.

This comes in the aftermath of 11 people killed at a Pittsburgh synagogue by a deranged Trump-hating madman named Robert Bowers.

From Mediaite:

As the nation comes to terms with 11 deaths following Saturday’s anti-Semitic shooting at a Pittsburgh synagogue, questions are being raised over the influence of President Donald Trump‘s divisive tone. On CNN’s State of the Union the panel was very animated on the topic.

Nina Turner, a former Ohio state senator and current president of progressive PAC Our Revolution, said the Commander-in-chief’s role in fostering a politically charged environment couldn’t be ignored.

According to Turner, Trump “does have to take some responsibility for the type of racist vile climate that we find ourselves in, which, Jake, is not new. This is in the DNA of America, so I’m surprised that people are surprised. What is happening is that what is in our root as a country is bubbling up now, and that’s what people are surprised [by].”

Former Trump campaign strategist David Urban took a somewhat opposing view, arguing the issue was a lack of regulations surrounding speech online, referring to Gab, the social networking site where the synagogue shooter posted hate-filled content before his attack.

Urban added: “That vitriol builds upon vitriol and allows people to think, ‘Well, it’s ok for me to do that. This is kind of like the broken window theory of policing. If we don’t push back on the small broken windows that occur in the internet and that allows bigger crimes to occur like this.”

Turner virtually said the same exact thing back in 2016, also on CNN.

WATCH:

Turner also recently claimed that Democrats need to stop talking down to voters, per The Hill:

Progressive activist and former Ohio state Sen. Nina Turner says Democrats could do a better job of reaching rural America, warning that the party still has not learned its lessons from the 2016 presidential election.

[…]

“It just really makes me angry to hear elite-type politicians talk down to anybody, but I especially see that when it comes to our rural communities that just because they believe a certain way or they tend to vote a certain way that they don’t understand what they’re doing,” Turner told Hill.TV “Rising” co-host Krystal Ball during an interview that aired on Friday.

US Pop Star Offers to Pay Fines For Olympic Team Protesting Skimpy Outfits

The IOC wants the women to remain scantily clad, and this is undoubtedly on account of their incessant greed.

Published

The Olympics may have built themselves as some sort of prestigious and untouchable global event in years past, but the last few decades have revealed just what a shady cash-grab the games have become. It all began in the 90’s when the financially-struggling Winter Olympics added snowboarding to the games, in a move that was blatantly meant to generate ad revenue from the emerging sport and its fans.  In this quest to cash in, the International Olympic Committee refused to allow any actual snowboarding organizations participate in the operations, which drove several of the world’s best to boycott.  This, in turn, completely ruined the concept that the gold medalists were truly the best in the world, and exposed the IOC as nothing more than a marketing firm. Now, in 2021, a number of female athletes are complaining that they are being forced to wear skimpier clothes than their male counterparts, (often in the same discipline), to which the IOC responded with a “be quiet and play” sort of attitude. Again, the skimpier outfits equate to more ratings, so Olympic organizers are refusing to make accommodations. This has led US pop star Pink to step up.  US pop star Pink has offered to pay the fines handed out to the Norwegian women’s beach handball team, after they wore shorts like their male counterparts instead of bikini bottoms. The team was fined 1,500 euros (£1,295) for “improper clothing” at the European Beach Handball Championships last week. “I’m very proud of the Norwegian female beach handball team for protesting sexist rules about their uniform,” tweeted the singer on Sunday. “Good on ya, ladies,” she added. “I’ll be happy to pay your fines for you. Keep it up.” In doing so, the Olympics will get their coveted cash and these female athletes will be able to perform…

GOP Rep. Says There’s ‘Credible’ Evidence of Wuhan Lab-Leak Theory

China has been avoiding any such investigation for months now.

Published

From the very moment that the COVID-19 pandemic began, there were concerns that China wasn’t telling us the truth. This was primarily based on Beijing’s horrendous record of dishonesty when it comes to the international community, which has been ever-so frequent in cases in which the Chinese government could be made to appear cruel or uncaring. To be fair, it doesn’t take long for most to realize that this is, in fact, reality, especially as we continue to receive credible reports of the nation’s use of concentration camps and ethnic cleansing. In the case of the coronavirus, not only did the world discover that the data coming out of Beijing was wholly incorrect, but that a laboratory specializing in the exact type of coronaviruses that caused COVID-19 happened to be just a few miles away from the epicenter of the pandemic. Now, despite numerous attempts to stall or stymy efforts to investigate the theory that pandemic began as a lab-leak, one US lawmaker is claiming that there is credible evidence of just such a possibility.  Sunday, on FNC’s “The Next Revolution,” Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-IA) stressed the importance of investigating the origins of COVID-19, and in particular, China’s role. His statement was stern. “As you know, we still have yet to have any notice that there will be an investigation. And so I think, rightfully, we used the powers of oversight that we have in Congress and we convened a hearing. Unfortunately, none of the Democrats attended that hearing. But the expert testimony from the witnesses was quite profound and quite significant. “And I think as they said, and I would tend to agree that this virus came from the laboratory, whether it was a leak, whether it was accidental, whether it was intentional, whether it was manmade or whether it…
