…And it wasn’t even CLOSE.

LeBron James may be the media’s favorite liberal athlete, but in the public’s eye, Michael Jordan still takes GOAT status, and it isn’t even close.

James has been racking up more achievements every season and for the last few years debate has raged over whether James has finally taken GOAT status (greatest of all time) away from Michael Jordon.

But while sports reporters and NBA statisticians may bicker over the particulars, it appears that the public still considers LeBron James a pretender to the GOAT.

Supporters of Jordan pointed to Jordan’s six championships, his undefeated record in the NBA Finals, and his overall influence in taking the NBA’s popularity to a new level as reasons why he’s the best.

Fans of James point to his longevity, his eight consecutive NBA Finals appearances, of which he won three, and his overall brilliance on the floor beyond scoring. James is also still at his peak and passing Jordan in several statistical achievements.

But a new INSIDER poll finds that James is a big loser in this barnyard battle.

The poll of 1,082 Americans found former Bulls star Michael Jordan earned 66 percent of the GOAT vote while James only saw 10.4 percent support for top status.

Others who found small numbers of supporters included Larry Bird, Wilt Chamberlain, Shaquille O’Neal, Kobe Bryant, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Stephen Curry.

Jordan picked up support across all ages, not dipping below 54 percent in any age range. Granted respondents between the ages of 18-29 were more enthusiastic about James, then again many of those respondents weren’t around for Michael Jordan’s great career.

LeBron James And Other Members Of The Lakers Sport Mock MAGA Hats

On Tuesday evening, prior to the first-round playoff series game against the Portland Trailblazers, members of the Los Angeles Lakers, including NBA legend LeBron James, rocked mock MAGA caps which had the words, “Great Again,” crossed out and replaced with “Arrest the cops who killed Breonna Taylor.” James, easily one of the biggest influences in modern sports, also wore a shirt that said “By Any Means” on it, while also posting up the slogan on Instagram, writing, “By Any Means!! Lets Get It #JusticeForBreonnaTaylor.” Now, to be fair, what happened to Taylor is absolutely horrific and absolutely uncalled for. The woman was shot while in her bed and there’s definitely reason to be angry about this situation being unresolved. The real issue here is whether or not it’s acceptable to participate in political activism while on the job. Do we really need to politicize sports like we have the rest of life? via The Daily Wire: Some of the other members of the Lakers squad who donned the mock MAGA hats included Anthony Davis, Dwight Howard, Jared Dudley, Quinn Cook, Rajon Rondo, Danny Green, and JR Smith, as The Daily Mail reported. After the game, James told reporters, “You know the situation that’s going on in Louisville, Kentucky. An innocent woman being killed, by the name of Breonna Taylor. A woman who had a bright future. Her life was taken away from her. There’s been no arrests, there’s been no justice, not only for her, but for her family … We want to continue to shed light on that situation because it’s just unjust. That’s what it’s about.” https://twitter.com/NBAonTNT/status/1295942946198417408 Last month, James told reporters at a press conference, “The same energy that we have on the floor is the same energy that we have towards having justice for Breonna Taylor…

President Trump Says That If Biden Stands Up And Breathes, Media Will Call It ‘One Of The Greatest Debate Performances In History’

Published

Conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt recently conducted an interview with President Donald Trump in which he asked him about the debates coming down the pike with Democratic presumptive nominee Joe Biden, and what Trump had to say is both hilarious and sadly true. Trump said, “You know the way it is, the fake news. If he stands up and if he is able to breathe, and if he’s able to walk off the platform, they’ll say it was one of the greatest debate performances in history.” He’s right, you know. The mainstream media will ignore any idiotic or nonsensical things Biden, in his declining mental state, might say, and just as they made a big deal of his ability to ride a bike, acting as if that was all it took to verify his fitness for office, they will play up the fact he showed up as some sort of grand accomplishment. Here’s more from The Daily Wire: Hewitt prompted Trump by asserting, “The expectations of the vice president are being lowered by the hour. I think if he just stands up for an hour, that will lead the media to declare him a winner. I appreciate that you nominated me to be a moderator. I don’t think the debate commission will give you anyone remotely close to being as tough on Biden as they are on you. Do you think they’re lowering expectations for Joe Biden for the debates?” Trump answered, “Well, I’m not lowering expectations. Everyone else is. I’m not. I don’t do that. Look, whoever shows up, I watched him with Bernie Sanders, and he did okay. I wouldn’t say he was Winston Churchill.” “Yes, he did,” the host replied. “But he got through,” Trump continued. “But you know the way it is, the fake news. If…
