NBA legend LeBron James, the man whose political opinions we all hinge upon as a collective society, expressed his thoughts on the recent shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin, right after his team, the Lakers, nabbed a playoff victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday.
James has become a voice for the social justice warrior crowd, particularly Black Lives Matter followers.
James stated that it’s really hard for him to enjoy a playoff win in light of the Jacob Blake incident.

“I can’t even enjoy a playoff win right now, which is the sad part,” the Lakers star said.Trending:
The shooting has sparked violent unrest in Kenosha since Sunday night. Blake, who remained hospitalized Monday, was shot, apparently in the back, as he leaned into his SUV while his three children sat in the vehicle.
“We are scared as Black people in America,” James said. “Black men, Black women, Black kids. We are, we are terrified.”Advertisement - story continues below
“And y’all wonder why we say what we say about the Police!! Someone please tell me WTF is this???!!! Exactly another black man being targeted,” James wrote on Twitter. “This shit is so wrong and so sad!! Feel so sorry for him, his family and OUR PEOPLE!! We want JUSTICE.”
James fails to note the fact that Blake had warrants out for his arrest for infractions like domestic abuse and sexual assault. This was not a “black man being targeted.”
It was a criminal, with warrants, refusing to comply with police, who reached inside a vehicle, which meant he could’ve been going for a weapon. That’s hardly an innocent man. At all.
It’s important to know all of the facts on this situation before jumping to the conclusion that it was race related.
