Leftist on Twitter Explodes After Teen Athlete’s Op Ed About Unfair Transgender Opponents

Unbelievable hatred.

The heads of many leftists exploded Saturday after a Connecticut girl had an op ed published in USA Today in which she talked of how unfair it was that she and other natural-born girls were beaten out for track and field scholarships by boys claiming to be transgender girls because of how these biological males over performed in school competitions.

A young woman named Chelsea Mitchell began losing race after race starting back when she was in high school in 2017. Even though she was rated the fastest female runner in the state in the 55-yard-dash she lost nearly a dozen titles because in 2017, the state of Connecticut ruled that biological boys claiming to be transgender girls could compete in school sports with biological girls.

In her May 22 op ed, Miss Mitchell told readers that forcing girls to compete against opponents born as boys was simply unfair and is destroying girls’ sports.

Mitchell noted that all her training and physical conditioning often came to naught because her opponents had the advantage. “All I can think about,” she wrote, “is how all my training, everything I’ve done to maximize my performance, might not be enough, simply because there’s a runner on the line with an enormous physical advantage: a male body.”

She added that she has lost one title after another, saying, “time after time, I have lost. I’ve lost four women’s state championship titles, two all-New England awards, and numerous other spots on the podium to male runners. I was bumped to third place in the 55-meter dash in 2019, behind two male runners. With every loss, it gets harder and harder to try again.”

“That’s a devastating experience. It tells me that I’m not good enough; that my body isn’t good enough; and that no matter how hard I work, I am unlikely to succeed, because I’m a woman,” Mitchell insisted.

Mitchell and a few of her female competitors have filed a lawsuit against the state of Connecticut to force the state to dump its transgender-friendly school sports rules to once again make sports fair and re-level the playing field for girls.

It especially hurts girls trying to use sports to help them get a college education. Mitchell added:

But besides the psychological toll of experiencing unfair losses over and over, the CIAC’s policy has more tangible harms for women. It robs girls of the chance to race in front of college scouts who show up for elite metes, and to compete for the scholarships and opportunities that come with college recruitment. I’ll never know how my own college recruitment was impacted by losing those four state championship titles to a male. When colleges looked at my record, they didn’t see the fastest girl in Connecticut. They saw a second- or third-place runner.

These common sense and real-world points fell on deaf ears among many liberals who took to twitter to accuse Miss Mitchell of being a bigot, a religious fanatic, and a hater.

For instance, a transgender activist named Dawn Ennis smeared the young woman from Connecticut and wagged a finger in Mitchell’s face calling her all sorts of names. Typical of many liberals, even as this Ennis character attacks Miss Mitchell for not having compassion, he also engages in a long series of name calling, and attacks on both Mitchell’s character and religion.

Ennis calls Mitchell a liar, calls the girl “transphobic,” says Mitchell and her legal counsel are “extremist Christians” and that they belong to a “hate group,” insists that Mitchell wants the right to “discriminate, is pushing “propaganda and ignorance,” and says that Mitchell is “immoral.” That is a lot of name calling and hate from a purportedly compassionate leftist.

Ennis’s long, hate-filled Twitter thread can be seen starting with the following tweet:

But Ennis is not alone. Many other leftists also went on a binge of hate for Miss Mitchell by calling her names on social media:

MUST SEE: Brave Alaskan Helps Baby Moose Navigate Highway Barrier

Normally, stories about moose on the highway don’t end this well.

Alaska is a state like no other.  It’s still a veritably untamed place, where the weather and the wildlife are both out to get you. It takes a special kind of person to hack it in America’s last frontier.  A simple run to the grocery store can be hazardous in some conditions, and just taking the garbage out at night may find you face-to-face with hundreds of pounds of brown bear. But ask any Alaskan what they hope to avoid the most, and many will tell you it’s the moose that you have to worry about. These creatures are simply enormous, and they have just enough of an attitude to be more than a nuisance when confronted.  Combine that with the fact that plenty of Alaskans are killed each year after automotive collisions with these gargantuan animals, and you have a real recipe for trouble. This week, however, a different sort of moose story made headlines, and with some adorable photos to show for it. Last week, pictures of a man in Alaska lifting a moose calf over a highway guardrail were posted on Facebook. According to Andrea N Salty Bock, who posted the pictures on Facebook, the calf and its mother were near Clam Gulch, on the Kenai Peninsula. The mother was apparently trying to get her baby to go over the guardrail, but it was too tall for the calf. “Traffic stopped to give her the room she needed,” the Facebook post said. “But the calf could not clear the guardrail.” The photos were captivating. Authorities, while thankful that the moose was able to continue on its way, warned that the situation was still a dangerous one, despite the size and age of this animal.

Well, it’s a start.

Of all of the ways in which this latest iteration of the Cold War has manifested itself in recent years, the insidious actors of the digital dimension may very well be the most prominent here in the 21st century. Notably, the den of online thieves and troublemakers who emanate from Russia, and often choose to target individuals and businesses in America.  In the past several weeks alone, hackers with ties to Russia have crippled a gasoline pipeline on the east coast of the United States and the world’s largest meatpackers. Now, as US President Joe Biden and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin look for ways to improve the ailing relationship between their two nations, a novel idea has risen in popularity. President Joe Biden signaled an openness to swapping cybercriminals with Russia ahead of his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday. “Yes, I’m open to, if there’s crimes committed against Russia that, in fact, people committing those crimes are being harbored in the United States, I’m committed to holding them accountable. I was told as I was flying here that he said that. I think that’s potentially a good sign of progress,” Biden said at a post-G-7 summit press conference in the United Kingdom on Sunday. Putin had raised the possibility during an interview over the weekend. “If we agree on the extradition of criminals, then Russia will naturally do that but only if the other side, in this case, the United States, agrees to the same and will also extradite corresponding criminals to the Russian Federation,” Putin said according to Russian news agency TASS. Of course, given that Russia has a history of neglecting the human rights of her prisoners, there is sure to be some pushback regarding the idea of sending “innocent until proven guilty” perpetrators…
