Lindsey Graham Reaches Out to Mueller as Barr Testimony Tizzy Continues

Lindsey Graham’s outreach to Mueller proves that the Congressman has the best interests of the American people at heart.

Despite enduring several weeks of grueling examination, the Mueller report seems to still possess its metaphorical legs, and will be running up and downs the teleprompters of the mainstream media for some time to come.

Further muddying the waters was a bout of contentious testimony from Attorney General Bill Barr, half of which the top cop in the country simply skipped…a decision that could very well lead to Congress voting to find him in contempt.

With the special counsel and Barr seemingly at odds over the true meaning of the report, focus has now turned back to Robert Mueller himself, as the democrats continue to negotiate his coming testimony.

It seems as though Republican Congressman Lindsey Graham has had similar thoughts.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., sent a letter to Special Counsel Robert Mueller Friday asking him if he wanted to “provide testimony regarding any misrepresentation” by Attorney General William Barr concerning a phone call the two had about the findings of his Russia investigation.

Graham, the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, thanked Mueller and his team “for the professional and thorough manner in which you conducted your investigation.”

At the center of the issue are two attempts by Robert Mueller to contact Barr and address concerns about Barr’s possible misrepresentation of the findings.  Barr’s story when speaking in front of Congress is far different than Mueller’s account, causing some concern among Americans.

Graham wrote, “In response to questions by Senator Blumenthal, the Attorney General testified in essence that you told him in a phone call that you did not challenge the accuracy of the Attorney General’s summary of your report’s principal conclusions, but rather you wanted more of the report, particularly the executive summaries concerning obstruction of justice, to be released promptly.  In particular, Attorney General Barr testified that you believed media coverage of your investigation was unfair without the public release of those summaries.”

He concluded his letter asking Mueller if he would “like to provide testimony regarding any misrepresentation by the Attorney General of the substance of that phone call.”

The only thing that we know for certain is that the American people deserve the whole truth, and Lindsey Graham understands this.

Diplomats Speak On White House Transcript Of Ukraine Call, Say It Was ‘Substantively Correct’

A pair of career diplomats who were highly involved in the crafting of U.S. policy in Ukraine have given testimony about President Trump’s July 25 call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky which was transcribed and released by the White House, saying it was “substantively correct.” Here’s more from The Washington Examiner: The transcript of the call, which is at the center of the Democrats’ impeachment investigation, shows no explicit quid pro quo between Trump and Zelensky but does show Trump pressuring Zelensky to investigate corruption allegations into 2020 Democratic front-runner Joe Biden. Trump has said the call was “perfect” and decried the impeachment process as “the greatest political witch hunt in history.” During their public hearing on Tuesday, Jennifer Williams, a foreign service aide detailed to Vice President Mike Pence’s office, and Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, the top Ukraine specialist on the National Security Council, were both asked about the transcript by the House Intelligence Committee. “I didn’t take a word-for-word accounting. When I first saw the publicly released version, it looked substantively correct to me,” Williams said when asked whether the transcript was “complete and accurate.” “I certainly would describe it as substantively correct,” Vindman agreed, adding that it was “correct” and that he called it “very accurate” during his closed-door testimony. https://youtu.be/MEB-s2I205k Kurt Volker, who served as the former U.S. special envoy to Ukraine, and Tim Morrison, a former NSC aide, will also be giving testimony during the impeachment inquiry to be held on Tuesday. Despite saying the Trump transcript was “substantively correct,” Vindman spoke with House investigators during his private deposition and alleged the White House omitted some important words and phrases.

Dem Lawmaker Weighs In On Trump, Says, ‘I’d Like To Impeach The Bas**** Right Now’

Published

It seems that Rep. Dina Titus isn’t a big fan of President Trump, referring to him as a “bas****” during a rather incendiary speech delivered at a Democratic Party event in Las Vegas. Titus, a Nevada Democrat, was such a rousing success with her anti-Trump rhetoric that chants of “Dina! Dina!” broke out in the crowd. Here’s more from The Washington Times: “You have heard me say how many times that this is the most important election of your lifetime? Well, this time I really, really, really mean it, because it is,” the congresswoman told the crowd, according to a video promoted by the Republican National Committee. “The heart and soul of our nation is on the ballot, and it’s going to be up to you all,” she said. “That’s why our caucus is so important. It’s the first step to getting this con artist out of the White House. “You know, frankly, I think the House is going to do it, and I’d like to impeach the bastard right now,” she said, drawing a wave of cheers. Titus went on to state that the Senate would not probably impeach the president, so the Democratic Party needed to be prepared to “take him out” in November of 2020. When speaking with reporters later on in the evening, Titus stated she was “caught up in the moment” when she called Trump a “bas****.” “Well, I guess I just don’t have very much respect for this president,” Titus told a local CBS affiliate. “I don’t have respect for his moral standards. I think he doesn’t have any knowledge of history, he’s very anti-intellectual, he’s abandoned or insulted our allies, he certainly doesn’t work well with Congress. “That was just the first term that came to the top of my head,” she continued.
