Mainstream Media Calling on Peers to "Pump the Brakes" on AOC Coverage

Perhaps in the days after Robert Mueller comes forward with his “no collusion included” final report, we can begin an investigation into the collusion perceived between the left wing establishment and the mainstream media.

After all, we know from the metrics and the data that a great deal, perhaps 90%, of all mainstream news coverage regarding President Donald Trump is negative.  This is, in turn, fueling the “resistance” movement, and stirring the liberal base into a frenzy.

This radicalization has been manifested in a number of 2018 congressional races, not the least of which ended in the election of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez; the heir-apparent to Joe “King of The Gaffes” Biden.

Now, one mainstream media voice is lashing out at his peers, asking them to lay off the 28 year old bartender-turned-Congresswoman….and his pleas are more than a little pathetic.

Monday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” host Joe Scarborough called for members of the media to back off of obsessing over freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), who he said is the media’s “latest fad.”

“AOC, I think she won her primary, which was basically her election,” said Scarborough. “She got 15,000 votes. She won by 3,500 votes. She got 15,000 votes. Hillary Clinton got what, 63, 64, 65 million votes? I think the press needs to keep everything in perspective.”

He continued, “I know they like to chase the latest fad, but they’ve done it with the Republicans for years, focusing on stupid comments by backbenchers. I think they probably need to keep this in better perspective.”

In addition to being a sad reminder of the misuse of the media in the realm of television “news”, Scarborough’s comments are a direct request for journalism to bend around the AOC controversies in order to maintain a positive spin for the democrats.

This, my friends, is not the “news”.  This is purely the noise between the Geico commercials.
