Michigan Demands 77-Year-Old Barber Close Up Shop, He Refuses to Concede – ‘Taser Me’

John Salvatore

Folks in the state of Michigan are none too happy with Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) and her handling of the COVID-19 outbreak that has swept across their state, feelings they made quite clear after a petition to have her recalled reached 150,000 signatures.

The petition began growing after Whitmer announced new statewide orders concerning social distancing and the keeping of what she and the government consider “non-essential” businesses closed amid the continuing outbreak.

One barber shop owner is refusing to back down.

A 77-year-old Michigan barber who says he has no other choice but to reopen his shop in order to survive has been issued at least two citations, could face 90 days behind bars, and has had his shop ordered closed by state authorities.

However, the barber says it would take “Jesus” showing up or police dragging him out in handcuffs to turn on the “closed” sign.

Under Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s shutdown order, Karl Manke is supposed to keep his shop closed until the guidelines state that it’s “safe” for a reopening. But with economic hardship mounting, the barber opened “Manke’s Beauty & Barber Shop” on , and has remained opened since.

Manke said, “Heavens yes, I’m staying open unless they take me out in handcuffs or Taser me.

Whitmer stated in the order, “Michigan has the third highest number of COVID-19 cases in the country, and we’re still on the upswing. Data shows that most Michiganders are doing their part by staying home and staying safe. That’s good, but we must keep it up. When we do, we can save lives and shorten the amount of time we’re working through this crisis, which will be good for our families and good for our economy in the long-run.

According to many of her critics, the measures that Whitmer is instituting are simply stepping over the line.

Rep. Justin Amash said, “Several recent measures provide marginal benefits at best, while substantially heightening frustration and resentment.

Sensible instructions to practice social distancing, wear masks, and stay at home already do most of the work to reduce the virus’s spread. By pushing too far, the governor undermines her own authority and increases the likelihood people will not follow reasonable guidelines,” Amash continued.

While just about everyone can agree that measures need to be taken to protect those who are the most vulnerable to the coronavirus, at the same time, we cannot afford to allow our economy to be shut down for months on end. Current measures have already dealt a massive blow to the structure of our society. It can’t take much more abuse.

A viable third option other than just reopening everything or keeping it all shutdown must be considered and implemented. What that looks like is up for debate, obviously, but one possible solution is to keep gatherings on lockdown, but open up more businesses, slowly, to help keep things contained, until we can get back on our feet.

This might also encourage more “herd immunity” that could help bring this virus down, if done safely and with those who are more at risk for complications taken into consideration.

Big Court Win Involving Ballot Evidence Could Potentially Swing Nevada to Trump (Details)

John Salvatore

The Trump team (and America, in general) scored a big win on Wednesday. Ultimately, Nevada could potentially swing back toward President Trump if all goes according to plan. Now, the lawyers just have to provide the evidence. Here’s the deal, via Washington Examiner: In its first court victory, a Nevada judge has agreed to let the Trump campaign present its evidence that fraud and illegalities plagued the state’s election, enough to reverse Joe Biden’s win and set an example for other state challenges. According to Trump officials, the judge set a Dec. 3 hearing date and is allowing 15 depositions. What’s more, the campaign plans to present its evidence that could result in the rejection of tens of thousands of mail-in ballots in Democratic Clark County where Biden ballots outnumbered Trump ballots by 91,000 in unofficial results. LOOK: WATCH: Stay tuned for more on Nevada in the near future!

Democrat Denver Mayor Leaving Town for Thanksgiving, But Told Residents to Stay Put

They keep getting caught!

John Salvatore

Pelosi. Newsom. Phil Murphy. All have been caught doing things during the pandemic that they’ve cautioned the public against doing. That would be called hypocrisy – do as I say, not as I do. Now, another far-left radical has been busted in the act. It’s as if these libs think they won’t get caught. From The Daily Wire: Denver Mayor Michael Hancock (D) apologized and asked for the public’s forgiveness on Wednesday evening after it was revealed that he was traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday despite his own Twitter account cautioning against travel “if you can” earlier in the day. LOOK: In a statement Wednesday evening, Hancock acknowledged urging “everyone to stay home and avoid unnecessary travel,” but also acknowledged that he himself was, in fact, traveling for the holidays to visit his wife and daughter in Mississippi.
