Migrants Flown to Martha's Vineyard; Vacation Spot for Left's Elite

As the immigration crisis continues to rage in the American south, lawmakers directly affected by the unfettered flow of migrants into their locales have been looking for new avenues of advocacy to spread awareness.

For Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida, the solution has been made simple:  Send migrants to cities away from the border, where local lawmakers are more likely to espouse the same immigration beliefs as the White House.

The latest locale to receive migrants from Florida is Martha’s Vineyard – a fitting town in the Northeast, given its long history of hosting the same posh, Democratic lawmakers who’ve had a difficult time understanding the scope of the border crisis.

Two planes from Ultimate Air Charters landed Wednesday at Martha’s Vineyard Airport within a half an hour of each other, Airport Director Geoffrey Freeman told the Times.

The 50 men, women and children are believed to be from Venezuela or nearby countries. Foxnews.com reported Wednesday that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis sent two planes full of migrants to Martha’s Vineyard as part of his “promise to drop off undocumented migrants in progressive states.”

DeSantis was resolute in his decision:

Speaking in Northwest Florida on Thursday morning, DeSantis defended his decision to transport dozens of migrants to Martha’s Vineyard, saying the Biden administration’s border security policies were failing and that Florida is not a “sanctuary state.”

“We take what’s happening at the southern border very seriously, unlike some, and unlike the President of the United States who has refused to lift the finger to secure that border,” he said, noting the record number of people and drugs transiting across the 2,000-mile U.S.-Mexico border.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has been utilizing a similar tactic, busing migrants to New York City and other Democratically-led areas.
