MSNBC host Joy-Ann Reid agrees with guest Elie Mystal.
The way to “get” President Donald Trump is to go after his children.
ELIE MYSTAL: “Do you remember in ‘The Firm,’ how Tom Cruise brings down the entire mob on overbilling? In these reports, what we have is Ivanka Trump, as part of the Trump organization, overbilling the inaugural committee. That could be it right there. What we now have — this is the first time — look, we’ve talked a lot about Don Jr., we know now he was at the Trump Tower meeting, we talked a lot about Eric, because he seems to be Fredo.”
“This is the first time that we have Ivanka—which is like the only kid he likes—in the crosshairs. She apparently, according to these reports, was involved with overcharging the inaugural committee, and somebody had to tell her: this is going to look bad when we get audited. For a long time I thought that the only way we are really going to get to Trump is if you go after his kids. If you put the kids in legal peril, that’s the only thing that’s going to shock him out of his lying, deceitful, cocoon. And this could be the way to do it.“
JOY REID: “There is this finding that people — we’re going to talk about this later in the show — that you can’t indict a sitting President. But it doesn’t say anything about a sitting President’s daughter.“
Over 60 million Americans voted for Donald Trump. Over 60 million Americans voted for Hillary Clinton.
Of course, the former first lady won the popular vote. However, the former businessman won the electoral vote.
One of those things matters more than the other and for good reason.
It is to prevent tyranny of the majority.
According to MSNBC, though, Trump wasn’t “democratically” elected.
MSNBC panelists have come to the astute conclusion that President Donald Trump wasn’t actually elected — at least not “democratically.”
During an off-the-rails segment Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Hardball” with host Chris Matthews, two separate panelists claimed that Trump’s hush money payments in 2016 to adult film star Stormy Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal “robbed the American people of their right to vote.”
MSNBC, like most other cable news networks, serves as the communications branch of the Democrat Party.
During an interview with Joy-Ann Reid, California Congresswoman Maxine Waters scolded President Trump and told him to keep his mouth shut over the Golden State’s wildfires.
Trump blames the problem on forest mismanagement.
Waters, who will likely become the chair of the Financial Services Committee when Democrats take over the House in January, claimed that the president and GOP fear her because she’s a “strong, black woman.”
Waters: That’s the opposition talking about what would happen if this strong, black woman Maxine Waters is the chair of the Financial Services Committee.“
Waters: “They’ve never seen anybody like me before. There’s never been a woman in the history of this country that’s been the chairperson of the Financial Services Committee, and certainly never a black woman.“
Waters: “The president of the United States attempts to talk about things that he has no knowledge of. He doesn’t even understand what goes into fighting a fire, and for him to come out talking about poor management is just another indication that the president is not willing to learn anything. He does not really care about others, and he’s on the attack all of the time. We wish he would keep his mouth shut. California does not need him to be talking about things that he does not know.“
Waters: “We need him to bring people together, to be concerned about the safety of our families. So, again, it’s just another Trump who is again reaching in, talking about things that he doesn’t understand, and we need him to just stay away from us.“
Disabled Air Force veteran James Berrie wasn’t expecting what happened to him.
All he wanted to do was vote. Instead, he couldn’t.
MSNBC had set up shop in a handicapped parking spot and was unwilling to move in order to accommodate him.
From Daily Wire:
“Went to vote, and found this waiting for us,” James Berrie, who has multiple sclerosis, wrote on Facebook. “The only van accessible spot and they’re filming in it. We asked them to move, pointed out how it was wrong, then went to vote, because it takes time to load up. But came out and still there. Not even packing up, still getting ready for their shot.”
Berrie also said in a TV interview with a CBS News affiliate that the MSNBC crew kept telling him they would move shortly.
“’We’ll move in like three minutes. We’re going live. We’ve got a shot. We’re going live in like three minutes. We gotta do this,’ and we’re just like, ‘No. You have to move. It’s not right. You know it’s not right,'” Berrie told the affiliate.

MSNBC reporter Mariana Atencio apologized:
We made the wrong call today by using a disabled parking spot for our live shot in TX. There’s no excuse. I apologize to the two people who were on their way to vote as it’s one of the most important parts of our democracy; we’d never want to jeopardize anyone’s ability to do so
