MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace said Thursday that she does not “want to jinx anything” regarding polls showing positive momentum for Florida Democratic gubernatorial nominee Andrew Gillum, suggesting that she is hopeful for a victory for the progressive candidate.

Wallace—who worked for former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush before entering the White House of his brother, George W. Bush, in the 2000s—discussed the testy race between Gillum and Republican nominee Ron DeSantis, a strong backer of President Donald Trump. In their debate this week, Gillum accused DeSantis of racism.

WATCH:

Polling shows Gillum ahead of DeSantis by an average of 4.5 points, according to RealClearPolitics. Asking New York Times reporter Nicholas Confessore what he makes of the race, Wallace curiously remarked that the state has become “very red” in presidential elections.

Gillum has a growing scandal on his hands.

The corruption scandal surrounding Florida Democratic gubernatorial nominee Andrew Gillum continued to grow on Friday as newly-released documents show that an undercover FBI agent, who posed as a developer seeking to do business with Gillum’s Tallahassee government, allegedly paid thousands of dollars to support a fundraiser for Gillum’s political action committee, Forward Florida.

Tallahassee Democrat has the scoop, and it further involves an undercover FBI agent:

An undercover FBI agent posing as an Atlanta developer seeking to do business with the city of Tallahassee picked up the catering bill for a 2016 fundraiser for Mayor Andrew Gillum’s nascent political action committee, Forward Florida.

The PAC would eventually become the warchest for Gillum’s gubernatorial campaign. It is the first piece of evidence linking the ongoing FBI probe to Gillum’s broader campaign for statewide office.

The emails and receipts released Friday as part of a supplemental records request from the Florida Commission on Ethics shows that the agent, Mike Miller, was invoiced $4,386 by 101 Restaurant and Mint Lounge, a restaurant owned by lobbyist Adam Corey at the time. An email exchange shows that Miller paid the bill and that Gillum sent him a personal thank you note for the food.

Gillum recently stated that police officers are going “too far” if they pull out a gun, baton, or taser in the line of duty.

“All this stuff that they say, I’ve got to let them know, anti-police? No. I’m for police accountability, but law enforcement society cannot work and, quite frankly, law enforcement cannot do its job if it does not have a trusting relationship with the community,” Gillum said.

“At the time that a law enforcement official has to go to a weapon, to a gun, to a baton, to a taser, then they have already have to go too far by their very presence,” he continued. “By the very trust that they inspire in community and in society, they are supposed to be able to bring most situations to heel.”

WATCH:

Gillum’s brother is under investigation for potential voter fraud.

Less than a year before gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum publicly denounced President Donald Trump’s efforts to investigate the threat of voter fraud, Gillum’s brother, Marcus Gillum, voted in the 2016 general election in Tallahassee, Florida while a resident of Chicago, Illinois.

According to Florida law, you must be a legal resident in Florida to vote in elections. Casting an illegal vote in Florida is a third-degree felony.

Andrew Gillum and his brother Marcus are close. Media reports indicate they have traveled together and attended sporting events together. Also, Marcus Gillum has been caught up in the FBI investigation involving possible corruption in Tallahassee, Florida.

Gillum has been linked to a group that teaches kids to glorify a terror group, which has been designated by the State Dept. as a foreign terrorist organization.

From Breitbart:

Dream Defenders, a radical organization closely associated with Florida gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum, compiled an education tool for U.S. teachers that glorifies the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a deadly terrorist organization.

The project, which claims to be compatible with common core, pushes “rebellion” and educates students on the PFLP’s goal, which is posted on Dream Defenders stationary and quite literally calls for “the destruction of the Zionist state.”

The PFLP is designated by the U.S. State Department as a foreign terrorist organization. As a secular Palestinian Marxist-Leninist terrorist group, the PFLP is responsible for scores of deadly suicide bombings, shooting attacks and airplane hijackings in which Israelis were murdered in cold blood.

None of these reports look good for Gillum, but how will Floridians respond in November?

Psaki When Asked Why Joe Didn’t Wear Mask After Signing EO: ‘Bigger Issues to Worry About’

She’s going to be making plenty of excuses.

It is going to be a trip covering Joe Biden’s “presidency.” On Day 1, the guy signs an Executive Order mandating masks must be worn on federal property, then decides to not wear one later that same night at the Lincoln Memorial. When asked why that happened, new Press Secretary Jen Psaki dodged. Go figure. Didn’t Joe (and every liberal, for that matter) blast Trump whenever he didn’t wear a mask? While Biden signed executive orders meant to combat the coronavirus outbreak, AP White House reporter Zeke Miller pressed him about his previously-announced goal of having 100 million Americans vaccinated within the first 100 days in office. Miller asked whether the bar should be set “higher” to encourage even more Americans to get vaccinated. WATCH: https://twitter.com/tomselliott/status/1352349221161197568

Report: President Trump Reportedly Thinking of Forming New ‘Patriot Party’

Has a ring to it, no?

Before you get too excited about that headline (thinking the GOP is done with Donald Trump no longer at the helm) imagine all the negative aspects that would come with forming a new party. 1.) It would divide the Republican Party in two. 2.) Having another major party would split the vote, meaning Democrats keep on winning. It’s not the greatest idea, if he’s serious about it. What Trump should do is start his own TV network and social media platform ASAP. MAGA TV. You’re welcome. Anyway, check this out… The outlet, citing inside sources reportedly familiar with the matter, said that the president would like to call the party the “Patriot Party.” “Trump discussed the matter with several aides and other people close to him last week,” the outlet reported. “The president said he would want to call the new party the ‘Patriot Party,’ the people said.” The Daily Wire reported that “top pro-Trump Republicans” close to the administration said that it was a “bad idea” and would effectively split the Republican Party so that it would be nearly impossible for Republicans or otherwise to defeat the Democratic Party in elections.
