Mueller Team Scored Another Smackdown By Judge Ellis This Week

Ouch.

Robert Mueller

For the better part of two years, we have, as a nation been held hostage by Robert Mueller and his investigation into the #RussiaGate scandal.

We have witnessed our President attempting, time and again to succeed, only to be met with over “resistance” from the left, the RINO republicans, and the average American liberal.  The radical left has been emboldened by Mueller, and the possibility that somehow, some way, they can still stop Trump.

I’m sorry kids…I just don’t think that is how this one plays out.

As Mueller moves forward, we find ourselves in the first of presumably several coming trials, this one involving former Trump confidant Paul Manafort.  Things are, apparently, not going very smoothly for the Mueller team, however, as the judge in the case has been lashing out in frustration at the Special Counsel.

Paul Manafort‘s third day on trial over charges of bank fraud and tax evasion was cut a bit short on Thursday after government attorneys made the same mistake twice in a row.

The last witness called to the stand was J. Philip Ayliff, a certified public accountant (CPA) at Paul Manafort’s long-serving tax-preparation agency, Kositzka, Wicks and Co. (KWC), of Richmond, Virginia. As time inched along during the last witness’s testimony, nothing of particular interest seemed to be occurring at all.

Ayliff was mostly providing foundational testimony regarding the basic functions of a tax-preparation company. Prosecutors then moved on to specifics and attempted to “publish” one of Manafort’s e-file forms. Judge T.S. Ellis III‘s weariness all but amazed the courtroom as he denied the request–complete with an actual and pronounced finger-wag–before shouting:

No! You move it along!

As the day went on, the courtroom became testier still, before Judge Ellis finally put a nail in the whole thing.

Judge Ellis, who was already standing by this point, advised Ayliff to wait and announced the court would recess early.

If only the American people could convince Jeff Sessions to nip this thing in the bud as succinctly.

LeBron James Sponsors Silent After His Tweet Threatening Police Officer’s Life

LeBron James’ sponsors including Nike and Disney have remained silent over the star player’s tweet threatening an Ohio police officer.

L.A. Lakers star LeBron James’ sponsors including Nike and Disney have remained silent over the star player’s tweet threatening the life of an Ohio police officer. On Wednesday, James tweeted out a photo of a white Columbus police officer with the caption, “You’re next, #Accountability.” But after suffering a major backlash, the player deleted the tweet and attempted to claim that he deleted it to stop people from “creating more hate” over his message. The explanation for his removal of the tweet did not satisfy many. But regardless of whether James’ reasoning has been accepted by the fans, his sponsors seem unconcerned by his tweet threatening a police officer. Thus far sponsors and partners including Nike, 2K Sports, AT&T, Beats Electronics, Blake Pizza, Coca-Cola, GMC, KIA Motors, Nike, RIMOWA, Upper Deck, State Farm, and Walmart have remained silent over James’ threatening tweet. Not one of James’ sponsors issued a statement about the threatening tweet, including Disney which just finished James movie, Space Jam: A New Legacy. Others though, were outraged by the tweet. Former Major League Baseball player Lenny Dykstra, for one, apologized on behalf of all athletes for James’ tweet. “On behalf of pro athletes, current and former, I apologize for how #LeBronJames just showed his inner Maxine Waters and made a very real, ongoing threat to the life of the officer who quickly acted to prevent a knife attack from becoming worse. Many of us appreciate what LEOs do!” he wrote. https://twitter.com/LennyDykstra/status/1384980974430269440 The National Fraternal Order of Police also slammed James for his attack on police, as well. The FOP said that James, “with his vast resources & influence, should educate himself and, frankly, has a responsibility to do so, on the facts before weighing in. This is disgraceful & extremely reckless.” https://twitter.com/GLFOP/status/1384971441825894400 Others were just as offended…

Amazon Rolls Out Creepy ‘Pay By Palm’ Hardware at Whole Foods

Is this one of the harbingers of a cashless society?

Throughout much of modern history, Americans and their cash were two separate things.  One was a human being, breathing and walking about, earning money.  The money was an inanimate commodity of varying value that we used to keep the organism alive, fat, and happy. But in the future, it seems as though we may find ourselves intrinsically, and anatomically indistinguishable from our bank account.  In fact, it appears as though Amazon is banking on it. Amazon.com Inc (AMZN.O) said it is rolling out biometric technology at its Whole Foods stores around Seattle starting on Wednesday, letting shoppers pay for items with a scan of their palm. The move shows how Amazon is bringing some of the technology already in use at its namesake brick-and-mortar Go and Books stores to the grocery chain it acquired in 2017. The system, called Amazon One, lets customers associate a credit card with their palm print. It offers a contact-less alternative to cash and card payments, Amazon said. Of course, the move is being regarded as a terrifying leap into Orwellian territory by privacy experts, as it appears to push us ever closer to a cashless society where hackers and power failures could doom us all to poverty in the blink of an eye.
