Netflix Film "Bird Box" Inspires Moronic Challenge, Has Streaming Service Warning Patrons
You’ve likely been hearing quite a bit lately about a Netflix original film starring Sandra Bullock entitled Bird Box.
The movie is a spooky jaunt through a post-apocalyptic world where the main villain is an unseen, shifting force that will force you to commit suicide should you lay eyes upon it. There appears to be little rhyme or reason to how this entity travels or preys upon its victim, so the entire world has taken to shielding their eyes at all times when they are outside.
It is this factoid that has Netflix scrambling to warn Bird Box fans about a new “challenge” spreading on social media.
Can’t believe I have to say this, but: PLEASE DO NOT HURT YOURSELVES WITH THIS BIRD BOX CHALLENGE. We don’t know how this started, and we appreciate the love, but Boy and Girl have just one wish for 2019 and it is that you not end up in the hospital due to memes.

And why exactly is this warning necessary? Allow the dunces of the internet to explain:

So, folks, let’s just remember that walking around blindfolded can be dangerous.
I can’t believe that this has to be said in 2019.
