Former Speaker of the House Paul Ryan never – ever – saw things President Trump’s way.

Ryan often publicly sparred with 45.

Now, the retired Wisconsin politician says there’s a chance Trump could lose in 2020.

From Breitbart:

Former House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) said Monday that President Donald Trump could lose the 2020 presidential election if his “personality” is the central focus of his campaign.

“The person who defines that race is going to win the race. If this is about Donald Trump and his personality, he isn’t going to win it,” Ryan said during a lecture in Vero Beach, Florida, according to TCPalm.com.

The former speaker said President Trump should focus on issues of substance, rather than not style, if he wants to beat his Democrat presidential rival next year. Potential Democrat presidential contenders include Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Kamala Harris (D-CA), and Cory Booker (D-NJ). Former Vice President Joe Biden and former Rep. Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke (D-TX) are expected to launch campaigns in the coming weeks.

In a recent meeting, Trump scorched Ryan for screwing him and not securing funding for the border wall.

From Washington Post:

At a meeting Wednesday with conservative groups, the president accused former House speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) of having “screwed him” by not securing border wall money when Republicans had the majority, according to one attendee, Mark Krikorian, executive director of the Center for Immigration Studies. He said Ryan should have gotten him money before he left but he had no juice and had “gone fishing,” according to two attendees.

Ryan said Utah Senator Mitt Romney could serve as the “standard bearer” for the Republican Party.

From Newsmax:

House Speaker Paul Ryan said that newly elected senator Mitt Romney, his former running mate, can be the “standard-bearer” for Republicans in Congress like the late Sen. John McCain.

Ryan, R-Wis., said “it’s great” that Romney, the former governor of Massachusetts who was elected to the Senate in Utah, is coming to Capitol Hill.

It’s great that he’s coming. Mitt believes there’s a role for him … as a standard-bearer for our party.

After Trump said he’d look for a way to end birthright citizenship (possibly via executive order), Ryan wasn’t on board.

You obviously cannot do that. You cannot end birthright citizenship with an executive order. We didn’t like it when Obama tried changing immigration laws via executive action, and obviously as conservatives, we believe in the Constitution.

I’m a believer in following the plain text of the Constitution, and I think in this case, the 14th Amendment’s pretty clear, and that would involve a very very lengthy Constitutional process. I believe in interpreting the Constitution as its written, and that means you can’t do something like this via executive order.

WATCH: Sitting Dem Senator Threatens to Punch Trump In the Face, Then Calls for Peace

Another Democrat advocating for violence…

Dems love to say President Trump’s “rhetoric” leads to harm. Yet, they have no problem saying they literally want to physically assault the most powerful man on the planet. Where’s the logic? Can liberals even spell “hypocrisy?” From Daily Caller: Montana Democratic Sen. Jon Tester said Thursday the best way for Democrats to beat President Trump in 2020 is to “go back and punch him in the face” in an interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” Tester noted, “I don’t think, even in states where Donald Trump won big, that it did you any good running away from Donald Trump. I think you need to go back and punch him in the face. The truth is this guy is bad for this country.” WATCH: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=QDztkBropAI Democrats truly believe the words they say and have no comprehension of the term “irony.” Liberal rhetoric has greatly harmed Americans for a long, long while now, yet they have the gall to slam President Trump for speaking the truth. Insane. It’s that simple. Democrats and the mainstream media will look the other way on anything so long as you disagree with Trump on everything. Check out the tweet Montel sent, which he of course deleted: Really? Calling for cops to tase a conservative white woman, huh?

CONFIRMED: Trump Is Raising More Money In California Than ALL 2020 Dems – Except Two

HAHAHAHA! Excellent.

Here’s a story you won’t see ANYWHERE but on conservative websites. And there’s a good reason for it. President Trump is raking in more cash in the Golden State than all but two 2020 Dems. Go figure, huh? From CalMatters: This may come as surprise to the president, the national media and more than a few Californians, but there are plenty of Trump supporters in the “Resistance State,” too. And since the beginning of the year, they’ve been spending a lot of money to keep the president in the White House. New campaign finance statistics show that President Donald Trump raised $3.2 million—more money from the California donor class than all of his Democratic challengers, but two. Not only that, but the Trump campaign collected more from itemized small donors—those who gave in increments of less than $100 at a time—than anyone else in the field. The president bested even Democratic contender Bernie Sanders in the small-donor sweepstakes.
