New Poll on Mueller Report is BAD NEWS for POTUS

As Attorney General Bill Barr continues to push the DOJ toward the most transparent release possible of the Mueller report, the American people are growing concerned.

The report itself, which is reported to be well over 300 pages in length, was summarized by AG Barr in a 4-page letter to Congress, (and subsequently made public).  In this letter, Barr includes prime quotes from within the report itself, which seemed to indicate that Robert Mueller found no reason to charge President Trump with any sort of conspiratorial, Russia-related malfeasance.

On the possibility of charges for “obstruction of justice”, Mueller was unable to come to conclusion; a fact that AG Barr knew three weeks ahead of Mueller’s finalization of the report.

Now, with a few weeks’ worth of work left to do in order to make the report suitable for public consumption, Americans are beginning to doubt AG Barr’s conclusions.

According to a new NBC News/ Wall Street Journal poll, 29 percent of Americans say they believe Trump has been cleared of wrongdoing, based on what they have heard about Mueller’s findings, while 40 percent say they do not believe he has been cleared.

But a third of Americans — 31 percent — say they’re not sure if Trump has been cleared. That includes nearly half of independents (45 percent) and about a quarter of both Democrats (27 percent) and Republicans (25 percent.)

Respondents were asked about their views of the special counsel’s work on March 25-27, beginning the day after Attorney General William Barr released his summary of Mueller’s report that stated the probe “did not find that the Trump campaign or anyone associated with it conspired or coordinated with Russia in its efforts to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election.”

The sooner Barr can release the full report, the better, as the delays have allowed Americans to begin pondering what lies within the full report.

This is thanks in no small part to the continued efforts of the mainstream media to cast doubt upon Barr’s summary in order to stave off the massive ratings dip experienced by programs such as Rachel Maddow’s in the wake of the Mueller report’s delivery to the DOJ.
