NFL Coach Sacked After Refusing to Get Vaxed

And there could be more to come still!

While the federal government has been unwilling to push any sort of vaccine mandates on the people of this great nation, there are plenty of private corporations who are setting all manner of guidelines for how and when their employees will come back to work.  And, naturally, some of these companies are going to want to push a mandatory vaccination program, not only for the sake of keeping the workforce working, but also surely on account of the way that insurance companies are going to begin reacting to bringing employees back together.

In the National Football League, coaches are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19, and this requirement has now forced at least one team to make a tough decision.

After refusing to receive a vaccine for COVID-19, Rick Dennison is out as a Minnesota Vikings assistant coach, sources told ESPN on Friday.

Dennison had served as the Vikings’ offensive line coach/run game coordinator the past two seasons. In a statement Friday, the Vikings said they were still in discussions with Dennison on the league’s COVID-19 protocols.

Another coach in the league, New England Patriots co-offensive line coach Cole Popovich, also won’t be with his team in 2021 in a decision related to the COVID-19 vaccine and NFL guidelines, league sources confirmed to ESPN.

The vaccine is required for all Tier 1 staff, including coaches, front-office executives, equipment managers and scouts. Players are not required to receive the COVID-19 vaccine but will face strict protocols during training camp and throughout the season that vaccinated players will be able to forgo.

The league will allow for medical or religious exemptions to the policy, however.

Dennison did not qualify for such an exemption, according to the team.

Major League Baseball Moves Bat Production to Red China

Major League Baseball has fired its U.S.-based bat makers and sent the contract to the Chinese.

Major League Baseball is no longer America’s game. Apparently, it’s China’s, now that the league has fired its U.S.-based bat makers and sent the contract to the Chinese.

Bats for MLB have been made in America for the entirety of baseball’s existence… until today.

According to Yahoo News:

When Major League Baseball hosted its “Field of Dreams” game in Iowa in August, it was a celebration of small-town America. But less than 100 miles away, a small town is worrying that its local economy, that’s centered around baseball, is getting shut out. Kris Van Cleave traveled to Caledonia, Minnesota, where a factory partially owned by MLB is closing up shop and shipping jobs overseas.

So much for the “American pastime.” So much for the one game America is most famous for.

But this is where all pro sports are headed.

Soon all the Little Leaguers will be proudly swinging those bats that are stamped “Made In China.”

What an outrage.

MLB Star Blames Vaccine Side Effects for Lackluster Season

Experts were quick to throw cold water on the idea, however.

The Biden administration’s trouble in moving the needle on the national vaccination rate continues to be one of the White House’s most poignant failures, and it shows.

The Executive Branch has been so concerned with their lackluster performance that they’ve begun to berate pop music superstars on Twitter over what they’re calling “vaccine misinformation”.

Didi Gregorious is worried about his own lackluster performance, on the other hand, after a potential side effect from a COVID-19 vaccine slowed down his 2021 MLB season.

Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Didi Gregorius is in the midst of one of the worst seasons of his career, and he’s pointing to at least one difference between this year and last.

Gregorius said he had been dealing with complications after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine. He told the Philadelphia Inquirer Wednesday the jab caused him to develop pseudogout, a form of arthritis, and he’s been in pain ever since.

“Some people say it’s from the vaccine. I will say it’s likely from that too,” Gregorius told the Inquirer. “But when you say that, everyone looks at you like you’re stupid because the vaccine is not supposed to be like that or give you that reaction.”

And Gregorius has found little solace in medical treatment.

Gregorius said he started to feel the swelling in his elbow after receiving a second dose in April. Even though pseudogout can be treated with medicine, the shortstop said the discomfort has not subsided.

Some experts have attempted to explain away Gregorius’ connection, stating that the baseball star’s recent vaccination may have caused a “flare up” of his already-existing but unknown pseudo-gout, but that it did not cause him to become ill.
