Ocasio-Cortez Just Compared Herself to GOP President Abraham Lincoln [WATCH]
Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. SMH.
This is what New Yorkers wanted, huh?
She’s so young.
She’s so…fill in the blank.
During an interview with “60 Minutes,” the youngest ever female Congresswoman compared herself to Republican President Abraham Lincoln.
Also, uber-liberal President Franklin Roosevelt.
Ocasio-Cortez’s “Green New Deal” aims to eliminate carbon emissions within 12 years. Speaking about the ambitious goal, Ocasio-Cortez says, “It’s going to require a lot of rapid change that we don’t even conceive as possible right now. What is the problem with trying to push our technological capacities to the furthest extent possible?”
To pay for the plan, Ocasio-Cortez floated the idea of tax rates as high as 70 percent on the ultra-rich.
AOC: “You know, you look at our tax rates back in the ’60s and when you have a progressive tax rate system, your tax rate, you know, let’s say, from zero to $75,000 may be ten percent or 15 percent, et cetera. But once you get to, like, the tippy tops, on your 10 millionth dollar, sometimes you see tax rates as high as 60 or 70 percent. That doesn’t mean all $10 million are taxed at an extremely high rate, but it means that as you climb up this ladder you should be contributing more.“
AOC: “I think that it only has ever been radicals that have changed this country. Abraham Lincoln made the radical decision to sign the Emancipation Proclamation. Franklin Delano Roosevelt made the radical decision to embark on establishing programs like Social Security. That is radical.“
WATCH:
Ocasio-Cortez was caught during her race changing her official biography on her website.
Conservatives took notice right away.
Ultimately, it would appear AOC wasn’t raised exactly the way she makes it seem.
She’s more privileged than people would guess, considering she’s very pro-socialism.
She sent this tweet:
https://twitter.com/AOC/status/1078303643617640448?%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1078303643617640448&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.thegatewaypundit.com%2F2018%2F12%2Fsocialist-princess-ocasio-cortez-suffers-twitter-meltdown-after-she-is-called-out-on-her-elite-upbringing%2F
And then things started popping…
The average household wealth of the town in which you grew up is $1.2 million. https://t.co/4sLCLWfnCb

Yep. As everyone knows, I grew up between two worlds + experienced 1st hand how a child’s zip code can shape their destiny.
It was scrubbing those households’ toilets w/ my mother that I saw and breathed income inequality.
I decided to make a difference.
You decide to do this. https://t.co/kMtbGQo8o8— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) December 28, 2018
You didn’t grow up b/w 2 worlds. You grew up in Westchester then lied abt it then changed your bio when the lie was exposed. I grew up in the (⬇️affluent ⬆️diverse) neighboring town, spent many wknds in the Bronx. The difference: I don’t lie abt my upbringing to feign victimhood. https://t.co/uitqPocXU8
— Michael Knowles 🫃🏻 (@michaeljknowles) December 30, 2018
Right, but @Ocasio2018 didn’t grow up in a city. She grew up in a small, homogenous, affluent suburb, where she attended excellent schools before pretending she grew up in the Bronx. https://t.co/rLaUCLp3R8
— Michael Knowles 🫃🏻 (@michaeljknowles) December 28, 2018
In which a Republican literally tries to mansplaining *my own childhood* and life to me.
And in true mansplaining form, he’s doing it wrong with an great degree of confidence.
It begs the question: is the GOP really “sending us their best?” 🤔 https://t.co/GNr9NACGoC
— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) December 28, 2018
.@Ocasio2018 every word he wrote is accurate.
You grew up in an affluent Westchester suburb, not the Bronx. You flat out lied.
I spent more time on the streets of the south Bronx than you, so please slow your roll Congresswoman. https://t.co/6zmnmVm2RE

Ocasio-Cortez needs to rest before getting to work as a member of Congress.
Those are her words.
She’s beat and wants to chill.
On one hand, sure, running for office for a year can’t be easy.
On the other hand, is this the best message to send to constituents?
I’m taking a few days to take care of myself before what is sure to be an eventful term.
For working people, immigrants, & the poor, self-care is political – not because we want it to be, but bc of the inevitable shaming of someone doing a face mask while financially stressed./1 https://t.co/EWdWFmPwet
— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) December 17, 2018
So I’ve decided to take others along with me on IG as I learn what self-care even means and why it’s important.
Feel free to comment here & share any resources or suggestions that have been helpful to you ⬇️

Whenever Democrats get too much negative press from conservatives, they believe conservatives take them out of context.
That’s not true roughly 11 times out of 10.
Enter AOC, who claims “Republican commentators” are “stalking” her and “doctoring” her live streams.
Cognitive dissonance is Republican commentators stalking, doctoring, + editing my casual livestreams out of context in order to sow doubt in my intelligence, all while blindly supporting a man who thinks our greatest defense against forest fires is: A Rakehttps://t.co/RsfyPT6rGy

Yes, Alexandria is delusional.
The only reason she’s being talked about so much is because she doesn’t know what she’s talking about.
Check out this hilarious montage of Ocasio-Cortez proving she doesn’t know much:
Ocasio-Cortez has a question about election day and Columbus Day that she can’t seem to figure out on her own.
See her tweet:
How is Columbus Day a holiday but Election Day not?
— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) November 18, 2018
Reactions:
Christopher Columbus discovered America; Erica Election did not.

I'm sure you're going to be a joy to work with in Congress.

Please give your mouth a break. Dear God!
— Dems in WH. (@MWenrich1) November 18, 2018
If only this were part of her campaign ad….. she wouldn’t have been voted in as an elected official 🤦🏻♀️
— K A R L Y C (@officialkarlyc) November 18, 2018
Why do you need Election Day to be a holiday?
— EC (@EdnaV4) November 18, 2018
10 days on the job and you are already looking to manufacture more days off.
— TXANM (@TXANM) November 18, 2018
I've voted AND worked every voting day since I was 18! Job never stopped me from voting!

How come socialism has never worked yet you still want to try it ? These are the questions we should be asking.

Alexandria is apparently looking for attention, sending what was clearly a bold-faced lie on Twitter.
See it:
People keep giving me directions to the spouse and intern events instead of the ones for members of Congress 🤦🏽♀️
— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) November 14, 2018
What’s the problem?
Republican consultant Arthur Schwartz has the answer:
https://twitter.com/ArthurSchwartz/status/1062870110405361665?%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1062870110405361665&ref_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.theamericanmirror.com%2Focasio-cortez-theyre-mistaking-me-for-an-intern%2F
Facepalm.
Ocasio-Cortez said that she couldn’t afford to land an apartment in DC until her Congressional paycheck kicked in.
“I have three months without a salary before I’m a member of Congress. So, how do I get an apartment? Those little things are very real.“
She lied.
From Daily Wire:
As Fox News reports, “Records show she has more than enough to plunk down on an apartment in the U.S. capital.” Fox News adds that Ocasio-Cortez “reported having between $15,001 and $50,000 in her checking account as of the end of April 2018, according to a Financial Disclosure Report she submitted to the clerk of the U.S. House of Representatives. The financial disclosure also reveals that she has an investment account valued between $1,001 and $15,000.”
[…]
That minimum of $15,000 that Ocasio-Cortez had in the bank is 15 times the amount 57% of average Americans had in their savings, as USA Today reported in May 2018. USA Today stated, “The average American has less than $4,000 in savings, while 57% of U.S. adults have less than $1,000 to their names.”
Like all elected members of Congress, Ocasio-Cortez will earn $174,000 annually.
