You know things are twisted when Nancy Pelosi (CA) seems to be the most reasonable Democrat in Congress.

If you think about it, it’s kind of true.

You have the one faction made up of Omar, Tlaib, AOC, and the radicals. Then you have the old school wanna-be loons like Pelosi who think they can connect with the AOC’s but know they have to do what is necessary to be a voice of reason.

From Daily Wire:

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi dismissed her party’s calls to pass Medicare for All on Saturday and instead defended the Affordable Care Act (ACA) as the most politically viable health insurance option for Americans.

“No, I do not,” Pelosi replied during an interview with NPR when she was asked if she agreed with many of the Democratic presidential candidates’ demands to implement a single-payer health care system.

Pelosi added, “This is complicated to put together health care for as many Americans as possible. Our goal for all of us, including those presidential candidates is to have health care for all Americans — affordable, accessible, quality health care for all Americans. We believe that the path of the Affordable Care Act is the way to go, so I do believe that if you want to have whatever they are calling their plan — Medicare for all, whatever it is — the path to it is the Affordable Care Act.

Pelosi recently referred to 45 as something other than “president.”

While speaking to a reporter, Pelosi said: “Let me just say this because I have some level of confidence and actually joy in seeing diversity in our caucus. We are the Democratic Party. Ever since I came here we have been engaged in differences of opinion in our caucus and that is a good thing. We are not a lock-step, rubber stamp representation of anything except representatives of our districts and what that means.

Nancy added, “We sat down today and had a good meeting. The congresswoman is a very gracious member of Congress, so we had a very positive conversation about our districts and how we represent them, our country and how we need to meet the needs, diversity of America and the challenges we face in terms of issues. And immigration and how people are respected.

Then, she said it.

Pelosi: Again, I referenced Ronald Reagan, as opposed to the current occupant of the White House.”

Barr Labels Seattle, New York City, And Portland As ‘Anarchist Jurisdictions’

Published

Attorney General William Barr has come out and labeled the cities of New York, Seattle, and Portland as “anarchist jurisdictions,” stating they have “permitted violence and destruction of property to persist,” after the president signed an executive order to limit federal funds sent to these places in the U.S. The announcement came via the Justice Department on Monday morning, saying the leadership in these three cities “have refused to undertake reasonable measures to counteract criminal activities” for months now following the death of George Floyd, which led to an explosion in violent protests, riots, and looting. Here’s more from The Washington Examiner: “When state and local leaders impede their own law enforcement officers and agencies from doing their jobs, it endangers innocent citizens who deserve to be protected, including those who are trying to peacefully assemble and protest,” Barr said Monday. “We cannot allow federal tax dollars to be wasted when the safety of the citizenry hangs in the balance. It is my hope that the cities identified by the Department of Justice today will reverse course and become serious about performing the basic function of government and start protecting their own citizens.” Trump’s early September memorandum stated that “it is the policy and purpose of the United States Government to protect the lives and property of all people in the United States from unlawful acts of violence and destruction” and that “without law and order, democracy cannot function.” The president said that “anarchy has recently beset some of our States and cities” and claimed that “for the past few months, several State and local governments have contributed to the violence and destruction in their jurisdictions by failing to enforce the law, disempowering and significantly defunding their police departments, and refusing to accept offers of Federal law enforcement assistance.” He…

Tom Cotton Weighs In On Filling RGB Seat: Democrats Who Voted For Kavanaugh Won Reelection; Those That Didn’t, Lost

Published

on

Sen. Tom Cotton made a very good argument for why Democrats should vote in favor of filling the SCOTUS seat left vacant by the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, by pointing out that those Democrats who supported Kavanaugh got reelected, while those that voted against him didn’t. This is a great strategy. What most Democrats want more than anything is to do maintain power and stay in office so they can get paid to do nothing, and they are willing to do whatever it takes to do so. Cotton knows that, hence, bringing up this very valid point. via The Daily Wire: “In 2014, the American people elected a Republican majority to the Senate to put the brakes on President Obama’s judicial nominations,” Cotton said during an interview on Fox News. “In 2018, we had a referendum on this question, just a month before the 2018 midterms. We had the vote on Justice Kavanaugh. There could not have been a clearer mandate because the American people didn’t just re-elect Republicans, they expanded our majority. They defeated four Democratic senators who voted against Justice Kavanaugh. They re-elected the one Democratic senator who did vote for Justice Kavanaugh.” “So we have a clear mandate to perform our constitutional duty. That’s what the Senate majority will do now. That’s what we did back in 2016 as well,” Cotton continued. “The Senate majority is performing our constitutional duty and fulfilling the mandate that the voters gave us in 2016 and especially in 2018.” Cotton later added that people should not “discount Democratic votes either” in the upcoming hearings after President Donald Trump announces who he is nominating to the nation’s highest court. https://youtu.be/0N2I3GVO_q4 We absolutely need to make sure that a true, pro-life, conservative appointee is confirmed and placed on the Supreme Court, as…
