Pelosi Edges Ever Closer to Impeachment with ‘Constitutional Crisis’ Declaration

Nancy Pelosi’s language was unmistakably similar to that of the mainstream media as of late.

The hysteria is very, very real, and the Washington Swamp is practically percolating because of it.

President Trump has been working overtime to thwart the best efforts of democrats to undermine his presidency.  Unfortunately for Trump, much of what Congress is attempting to do, however distasteful and wasteful that it is, is likely protected by the Constitution.

This makes Trump’s rebukes of the processes a troubling piece of optics.  On one hand, the President is defending himself against attacks that are undoubtedly driven by partisan politics, but his defenses are triggering some alarming language to emerge on the left side of the aisle.

For instance, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has now declared that the United States is in a “constitutional crisis”.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday that the United States was in a “constitutional crisis” and warned that House Democrats might move to hold more Trump administration officials in contempt of Congress if they continued their refusals to comply with committee subpoenas.

Speaking to reporters in the Capitol, Ms. Pelosi said she agreed with Representative Jerrold Nadler, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, who said Wednesday that the nation was in a constitutional crisis after his committee recommended the House hold Attorney General William P. Barr in contempt of Congress for refusing to turn over an unredacted version of the special counsel’s report, along with the report’s underlying evidence.

Her language was unmistakably sensational.

“The administration has decided they are not going to honor their oath of office,” she said.

Ms. Pelosi said Democrats would bring the contempt citation to the floor for a vote of the full House “when we are ready.”

The phrasing mimics much of what we’ve heard from the mainstream media as of late, further exacerbating the sensationalism that is driving our nation apart.

Pelosi has previously declared her intent to avoid impeachment at all costs – a position that will likely become untenable should the rhetoric remain at this alarming volume.

Diplomats Speak On White House Transcript Of Ukraine Call, Say It Was ‘Substantively Correct’

A pair of career diplomats who were highly involved in the crafting of U.S. policy in Ukraine have given testimony about President Trump’s July 25 call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky which was transcribed and released by the White House, saying it was “substantively correct.” Here’s more from The Washington Examiner: The transcript of the call, which is at the center of the Democrats’ impeachment investigation, shows no explicit quid pro quo between Trump and Zelensky but does show Trump pressuring Zelensky to investigate corruption allegations into 2020 Democratic front-runner Joe Biden. Trump has said the call was “perfect” and decried the impeachment process as “the greatest political witch hunt in history.” During their public hearing on Tuesday, Jennifer Williams, a foreign service aide detailed to Vice President Mike Pence’s office, and Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, the top Ukraine specialist on the National Security Council, were both asked about the transcript by the House Intelligence Committee. “I didn’t take a word-for-word accounting. When I first saw the publicly released version, it looked substantively correct to me,” Williams said when asked whether the transcript was “complete and accurate.” “I certainly would describe it as substantively correct,” Vindman agreed, adding that it was “correct” and that he called it “very accurate” during his closed-door testimony. https://youtu.be/MEB-s2I205k Kurt Volker, who served as the former U.S. special envoy to Ukraine, and Tim Morrison, a former NSC aide, will also be giving testimony during the impeachment inquiry to be held on Tuesday. Despite saying the Trump transcript was “substantively correct,” Vindman spoke with House investigators during his private deposition and alleged the White House omitted some important words and phrases.

Dem Lawmaker Weighs In On Trump, Says, ‘I’d Like To Impeach The Bas**** Right Now’

Published

It seems that Rep. Dina Titus isn’t a big fan of President Trump, referring to him as a “bas****” during a rather incendiary speech delivered at a Democratic Party event in Las Vegas. Titus, a Nevada Democrat, was such a rousing success with her anti-Trump rhetoric that chants of “Dina! Dina!” broke out in the crowd. Here’s more from The Washington Times: “You have heard me say how many times that this is the most important election of your lifetime? Well, this time I really, really, really mean it, because it is,” the congresswoman told the crowd, according to a video promoted by the Republican National Committee. “The heart and soul of our nation is on the ballot, and it’s going to be up to you all,” she said. “That’s why our caucus is so important. It’s the first step to getting this con artist out of the White House. “You know, frankly, I think the House is going to do it, and I’d like to impeach the bastard right now,” she said, drawing a wave of cheers. Titus went on to state that the Senate would not probably impeach the president, so the Democratic Party needed to be prepared to “take him out” in November of 2020. When speaking with reporters later on in the evening, Titus stated she was “caught up in the moment” when she called Trump a “bas****.” “Well, I guess I just don’t have very much respect for this president,” Titus told a local CBS affiliate. “I don’t have respect for his moral standards. I think he doesn’t have any knowledge of history, he’s very anti-intellectual, he’s abandoned or insulted our allies, he certainly doesn’t work well with Congress. “That was just the first term that came to the top of my head,” she continued.
