Pence Takes Ugly Swing at Trump Regarding 2024 Viability

With Donald Trump standing on the precipice of his 2024 presidential announcement, you can almost hear the knives of the GOP being unsheathed.

There are many within the Republican Party, on the “old guard” sides of things, who feel as though Trump’s current legal and political troubles represent some sort of opportunity for them; an opening of sorts.

One such man is former Vice President Mike Pence, who has been making an awful lot of noise about his former boss in recent weeks, including his latest bold attack.

Former Vice President Mike Pence said in an interview that aired Monday he believes there are “better choices” when asked if former President Trump should ever be president again.

“Do you believe that Donald Trump should ever be president again?” ABC’s David Muir asked Pence.

This is where Pence pounced.

“David, I think that’s up to the American people,” Pence responded. “But I think we’ll have better choices in the future.”

“People in this country actually get along pretty well once you get out of politics,” Pence told Muir. “And I think they want to see their national leader start to reflect that same, that same compassion and generosity of spirit. And I think, so in the days ahead, I think there will be better choices.”

Pence has been hinting at his own potential run for President as well, and this comment could certainly be construed as another piece of evidence of the possibility.
