President Donald Trump has made history as he, along with North Korean Dictator Kim Jong Un, have signed an important document early on Tuesday, as part of the summit meeting being held in Singapore, signaling that both countries are committed to the cause of peace and denuclearization of the Korean peninsula.

Unbelievable, isn’t it? This is something the last three presidents have failed at doing, yet along comes Trump and it gets done. Simply amazing.

“President Trump and Chairman Kim Jong Un conducted a comprehensive, in-depth, and sincere exchange of opinions on the issues related to the establishment of new U.S.–DPRK relations and the building of a lasting and robust peace regime on the Korean Peninsula,” read the joint statement that both leaders signed. “President Trump committed to provide security guarantees to the DPRK, and Chairman Kim Jong Un reaffirmed his firm and unwavering commitment to complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.”

The signed document highlighted the following four points:

The United States and the DPRK commit to establish new U.S.–DPRK relations in accordance with the desire of the peoples of the two countries for peace and prosperity.

The United States and the DPRK will join their efforts to build a lasting and stable peace regime on the Korean Peninsula.

Reaffirming the April 27, 2018 Panmunjom Declaration, the DPRK commits to work toward complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

The United States and the DPRK commit to recovering POW/MIA remains, including the immediate repatriation of those already identified.

The document further stated that both leaders “commit to implement the stipulations in this joint statement fully and expeditiously,” adding that Trump and Kim are “committed to cooperate for the development of new U.S.–DPRK relations and for the promotion of peace, prosperity, and security of the Korean Peninsula and of the world.”

This is great news and flies in the face of all the haters who were convinced that Trump was going to end up causing World War III to break out with North Korea. Instead of war and bloodshed, we now have a binding commitment from the country to denuclearize, which makes the world all the more safe going forward.

Without a doubt, this proves Trump has true leadership skill and potential, particularly when it comes to foreign policy, an area that many people have accused him of being ignorant about. Obviously that isn’t true, otherwise this wouldn’t have been possible.

Much of the success of the summit no doubt comes from the people Trump has chosen to surround himself with, again, showcasing his uncanny knack for getting the right folks for the job to work in his administration.
