President Trump wants it known.

He did not cave to Speaker Pelosi and the Democrats.

By agreeing to reopen the government, he has not ended his campaign to build a wall on America’s southern border.

Trump noted, “I wish people would read or listen to my words on the Border Wall. This was in no way a concession. It was taking care of millions of people who were getting badly hurt by the Shutdown with the understanding that in 21 days, if no deal is done, it’s off to the races!”

Here’s the tweet:

Press Secretary Sarah Sanders elaborated, noting that the wall is coming in 21 days “with or without the Democrats.”

In 21 days President @realDonaldTrump is moving forward building the wall with or without the Democrats. The only outstanding question is whether the Democrats want something or nothing

Trump may not have much of a choice.

Declaring a national emergency at the southern border might be the only way he can push his agenda forward.

The White House is now preparing to draft the order, which identifies $7 billion for the wall.

The White House is preparing a draft proclamation for President Donald Trump to declare a national emergency along the southern border and has identified more than $7 billion in potential funds for his signature border wall should he go that route, according to internal documents reviewed by CNN.

Trump has not ruled out using his authority to declare a national emergency and direct the Defense Department to construct a border wall as Congress and the White House fight over a deal to end the government shutdown. But while Trump’s advisers remain divided on the issue, the White House has been moving forward with alternative plans that would bypass Congress.

A portion of the draft reads: “The massive amount of aliens who unlawfully enter the United States each day is a direct threat to the safety and security of our nation and constitutes a national emergency.

If you have ever heard of Congresswoman Veronica Escobar you’re ahead of the curve.

She represents Texas.

Escobar appeared on CNN to say something so ignorant it would be surprising if she believed it herself.

From Free Beacon:

Rep. Veronica Escobar (D., Texas) said on Thursday that border walls “don’t work” and appeared to believe the United States should remove existing wall along the U.S. southern border.

“We know walls don’t work, that they don’t stop drugs. That they don’t stop migration,” said Escobar, who represents the congressional district–the 16th–where the border town El Paso is located.

So, why do other countries have walls on their borders?

Why do people in every country on earth have walls surrounding their homes?
