President Trump Trashes Bob Woodward's New Book. Here's How He Responded.
Bob Woodward’s new book does not have a fan in President Donald Trump, who early Monday morning took to Twitter to shred the tome, calling it a “total joke,” stating that he was going to write a “real book” about his presidency.
You can guarantee, if Trump actually decides to put pen to paper, that a book about his presidency from the inside would sell gangbusters and be a guaranteed bestseller.
“The Woodward book is a Joke – just another assault against me, in a barrage of assaults, using now disproven unnamed and anonymous sources,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “Many have already come forward to say the quotes by them, like the book, are fiction. Dems can’t stand losing. I’ll write the real book!”
Trump has been bashing the book since excerpts began appearing last week, going so far as to call Woodward an “idiot.” The book — “Fear: Trump in the White House” — officially hits the shelves on Tuesday.Trending:
In his early morning Twitter rampage, the president also said quotes in the book are “made up.”
“The Woodward book is a scam. I don’t talk the way I am quoted. If I did I would not have been elected President. These quotes were made up. The author uses every trick in the book to demean and belittle. I wish the people could see the real facts – and our country is doing GREAT!” Trump wrote on Twitter.
Trump’s administration has seen more scrutiny than any president in recent memory, including former President George W. Bush’s, and that’s really saying something, given how much the media put him under the microscope and mercilessly mocked him for the entire tenure of his time in office.
With his presidency being so controversial and so many different rumors and things being floated around by the mainstream media, it would be really helpful to have Trump’s side of things, so let’s hope that book gets made.
