Putin Pal Insists That Nuke Strike is Reasonable Russian Response

For years now, it has been rather obvious that Vladimir Putin has a bit of a nuclear fetish, and observers around the globe have been worried that his illegal invasion of Ukraine may bring about an excuse for him to act on it.

Throughout the seven months of war, in which Putin’s army has been thoroughly humiliated by Ukraine, the Russian tyrant has repeatedly suggested that he’s ready to employ an atomic weapon, should any outside forces attempt to intervene in his plans for genocide in the sovereign nation.

Now he has his surrogates and confidantes considering similar measures, and doing so with reckless aplomb.

Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council believes that Russia can launch a nuclear strike on Ukraine with impunity, since NATO countries will not take retaliatory steps, worrying about their own security.

What exactly did the Kremlin stooge say?

Quote from Medvedev: “Let’s imagine that Russia is forced to use the most formidable weapons against the Ukrainian regime, which has committed a large-scale act of aggression that is dangerous for the very existence of our state. I believe that NATO will not directly interfere in the conflict even in this scenario. After all, the security of Washington, London, and Brussels for the North Atlantic alliance is much more important than the fate of an unnecessary Ukraine.”

And also:

Medvedev is convinced that NATO countries are not going to “die in a nuclear apocalypse”, and therefore they will “swallow the use of any weapon” by Russia.

The United States has already warned Russia, privately, that there would be “catastrophic” consequences should they attempt to use such a weapon in Ukraine or elsewhere.
