Putin’s Security Manhandles American Press in Switzerland

The Russian leader was up to the same old nonsense again.

Vladimir Putin

Let’s make no mistake about it, every molecule of the minutiae surrounding Russian President Vladimir Putin is calculated, down to the handshakes, the smirks, the jokes, and the gifts.

We sometimes have to remind ourselves that Putin isn’t just Russia’s leader, but a man who is hellbent on remaining in power for the remainder of his life, and who comes from an intelligence background within the KGB.  Very little is left up to chance with Vlad.

So, when he and US President Joe Biden sat down to talk on Wednesday, Putin appeared to have a little surprise for the American leader.

U.S. reporters and producers were aggressively pushed and shoved by Russian security officials Wednesday at the start of the highly-anticipated meeting in Geneva between President Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin, denying the press full access to what was expected to be a short press availability before the hours-long summit.

Inside the room, Biden and Putin were seated with a small wooden table in between them, and a large globe was just behind the table. Large U.S. and Russian flags were erected on each side of the globe.

Next to the president sat a female interpreter, and Secretary of State Antony Blinken. Putin was seated next to an interpreter, and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

The media scuffle was described by those in the room as “chaotic,” with journalists being pushed and shoved.

The move could certainly have been an attempt by Putin to rattle his American counterpart, in order to perhaps have the upper hand in their coming conversation.

VIDEO: AOC’s Mask Hypocrisy Captured on Camera

What a phony!

Do as I say, not as I do. It has become the Democratic motto of late, with a vast number of liberal-leaning lawmakers eschewing their own advice, time and again, as it pertains to COVID-19 precautions. Former President Barack Obama was set to have nearly 700 guests over to his Martha’s Vineyard mansion for a birthday party in the coming days, before he was shamed into culling the guest list by media pressure. Washington DC Mayor Muriel Bowser attended an indoor wedding mask-less, despite pushing a mask mandate for businesses in the city. And now, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been caught faking it in terms of coronavirus safety. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., masked up for a photo op with activists on the steps of the U.S. Capitol — but only for the picture, a viral video shows. Ocasio-Cortez dropped her coronavirus mask after the snap Monday, when she posed with protesters in support of a new eviction moratorium. She was joined by fellow progressive Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass. The congresswoman was maskless while sitting on the steps before the photo, but donned her gray mask before Markey sat down and the picture was snapped. “Housing is a human right,” the group said as the picture was taken, with someone after the photo saying “Everybody say ‘whiskey.’” The moment was captured on video. https://twitter.com/BreitbartNews/status/1422754744968302595?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1422754744968302595%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.foxnews.com%2Fpolitics%2Faoc-coronavirus-mask-capitol AOC has been highly efficient as it pertains to using social media to build her brand, but, should this go viral, it could make the limelight burn just a little bit hotter.

Beantown Mayor says Proof of Immunization is Akin to Slavery

Slavery, like The Holocaust, is not to be summoned into the conversation lightly.

No matter how strongly you may feel on a particular subject, and no matter how personally offended you might be by something, unless that thing is literally slavery, it’s best not to try to compare it to actual slavery. We get it:  Hyperbole sells.  Hyperbole keeps you in the headlines, and it gets your name on the lips of folks the nation over in a hurry. But slavery is far too immoral and corrupt and horrid a thing to go around using it willy-nilly to make political points. The mayor of Boston is learning this lesson the hard way this week. NewsCenter 5’s Sharman Sacchetti posed the question to Mayor Kim Janey Tuesday, after New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced that proof of COVID-19 vaccination will soon be required for entering restaurants, gyms and indoor venues. The new requirement, which will be phased in over several weeks in August and September, is the most aggressive step New York has taken yet to curb a surge in cases caused by the delta variant. People will have to show proof that they have had at least one dose of a vaccine. “The goal here is to convince everyone that this is the time,” de Blasio said. “If we’re going to stop the delta variant, the time is now. And that means getting vaccinated right now.” And then… She went on to compare vaccine passports or credentials to documentation requirements during slavery and the Jim Crow era. Janey also drew a comparison to the so-called birtherism conspiracy theory. “There’s a long history in this country of people needing to show their papers,” said Janey. “During slavery, post-slavery, as recent as you know what immigrant population has to go through here. We heard Trump with the birth certificate nonsense. Here we want to make…
