REPORT: Ocasio-Cortez's Opponent Had Plenty of Dirt On Her, But Opted to Do Nothing

Joe Crowley lost in the primary to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

That alone was bad enough for New Yorkers – and the nation.

But it is now being revealed, via a new report, that Crowley’s team had enough political dirt on the former bartender to defeat her in 2018.

Here’s why they chose not to use it…

Former Democratic Congressman Joe Crowley reportedly could have shoveled political dirt on current New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, but decided to say nothing about it.

Crowley, who was expected to win his congressional nomination with ease, lost in a stunning upset. He was either apparently confident during his race with Ocasio-Cortez that he didn’t think he needed to resort to mudslinging, or he didn’t think it was the right thing to do. He reportedly thought doing so would make him look unnecessarily desperate, according to a new book obtained by the New York Post. Crowley was even allegedly expecting to replace Democratic California Rep. Nancy Pelosi as the then-House minority leader.

“Crowley had plenty of fodder he could’ve used against Ocasio-Cortez, but his top New York campaign operatives decided to take the punches and not hit back,” Politico reporters Jake Sherman and Anna Palmer write in their new book, “The Hill to Die On.”

Never assume you’re going to win. What a shame.

If it’s not the race card, it’s the gender card.

Democrats always have a wild card under their sleeve, knowing they can’t win an argument based on facts and logic.

Take Alexandria, for example.

She says she’s vilified because she’s “a woman.”

It couldn’t be because of her outlandish, far-left ideas, could it? NAH!

It’s sexism!

When asked about Trump supporters chanting “AOC sucks” at the president’s rally in Michigan last week, Ocasio-Cortez implied she was only being criticized because of her gender.

AOC: “You know this is part of a pattern that the right and the far-right and, frankly, the President is consistent with.

AOC: “He doesn’t have another woman, Hillary Clinton or whoever else, to vilify anymore so they need to find another woman to kind of prop up and become a lightning rod.

Ocasio-Cortez said something pretty awful about ICE. First, she sent the tweet below.

She pretty much implies that “dangerous” ICE is committing rape.

…(BOLD MINE)…

If you’re mad that I think people SHOULD KNOW when Dems vote to expand ICE powers, then be mad.

ICE is a dangerous agency with 0 accountability, widespread reporting of rape, abuse of power, + children dying in DHS custody.

Having a D next to your name doesn’t make that right.

She wasn’t done.

She kept it going…

#MomsDemand & #MarchForOurLives activists, who flew in from across the country, were watching from the gallery, crying + confused.

I ran up to them *during the vote* and explained that the gotcha amendment pinned gun safety against immigration advocacy. Its intent was to divide.

What I DID say was that I had to go back to my district & share the MTR vote to explain why a pro-ICE amendment was slipped into a gun safety law.

Maybe they’re mad bc I don’t believe pro-ICE expansion votes should be cast in the dark, and people deserve to know what happened.

“At [DHS immigrant detention] facility, children recounted being held down for forcible injections, which medical records show are powerful antipsychotics and sedatives.”

Again, didn’t threaten a primary.

I was upset that 26 Dems forced the other 200+ to vote for a pro-ICE provision at the last min without warning.

Because I think an agency that pins children down + forcibly injects them w/ antipsychotic drugs shouldn’t be given more power.
