Restaurant Manager Responds to Secretary Nielsen Getting Mobbed, It’s Deplorable

The manager at the Mexican restaurant where Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was mobbed and run out by folks angry over the Trump administration’s immigration policy has broken his silence on what happened at his establishment, admitting that he’s pretty happy about the whole thing.

Perhaps he has forgotten that a vast majority of folks who support the enforcement of immigration law are also the same people who frequently patron his restaurant and help him pay his bills?

“We are not upset the protesters came here and we are not upset even if it was any of our staffers [who tipped off] the protesters,” the MXDC Cocina Mexicana manager, who refused to give his name, told TheDCNF. “We are happy about what happened.”

Police responded to the incident, USA Today reported. The manager also said that, to his knowledge, no one who worked at the restaurant contacted authorities when the protesters arrived, and that it may have been one of her security detail or another restaurant patron. “We don’t know who exactly contacted the police … we don’t know,” he said.

The manager, who has tan skin and long, grey, hair, expressed his gratitude for President Donald Trump’s Wednesday executive order mandating that families be kept together. Trump signed the rule in response to widespread backlash against families being separated at the southern border when crossing into the U.S. illegally.

“We are very happy about what happened this morning, today,” the manager said. “We are all Americans … if [anything that] happened affected … the decision of the president … we are proud.”

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with protesting against laws you find to be unjust, even though the left’s definition of justice falls woefully short of what actual justice looks like. The problem here is that the way progressives are going about expressing their concern on this issue is violent, rude, mean-spirited, and crossing lines that shouldn’t be crossed.

The whole objective of protesting is to raise awareness, to help win hearts and minds so others join your cause to stand united and apply appropriate pressure to elected officials to represent the will of the people.

Running people out of restaurants is not accomplishing that mission at all. If liberals really want to make change happen, they should try tempering that passion with a bit of human decency.

Assange’s Latest Charge has First Amendment Advocates Alarmed

With free speech and a free press, America will cease to exist.

As the US government grows ever larger and more powerful, it will be of the utmost importance for Americans the nation over to be ultra diligent in bucking any overreaches of power. We The People have built this nation for the purpose of advancing freedom both throughout our continent and abroad, through leadership by example. Our legislators were purposefully given the title of “public servant”, as the job was never meant to be a lucrative one. Of course, that has all changed over the course of the last 200+ years, and we are now staring down a ruling class in Congress made up of wealthy and out-of-touch career politicians. It is now more than ever that we need someone like Julian Assange, founder of Wikileaks, to keep an eye on all of the government’s dirty tricks. Unfortunately, Assange is currently incarcerated and awaiting trial, extradition, or both, and has added a troubling charge of “espionage” to his rap sheet this week. It is this ridiculous assertion by authorities that has journalists the world over very worried. The editors of the nation’s most influential newspapers on Friday warned against President Donald Trump administration’s latest threat to the First Amendment, expressing distress over the Justice Department’s unprecedented use of the century-old Espionage Act to indict WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange for publishing classified material. American media outlets regularly publish classified material, even on occasion over the objections of the White House, as a legitimate journalistic exercise in serving the public’s right to know. Previous administrations have conducted leak investigations, and sometimes have charged the alleged leakers, but they have uniformly opted not to prosecute the journalists. There were some big names in the mix as well. In statements to The Daily Beast, New York Times Executive Editor Dean Baquet, Washington Post Executive Editor Marty Baron, Wall Street…

Mainstream Massacre Continues as CNN Cuts Payroll…AGAIN!

The move comes just days after a vehement denial that such a thing could occur.

The American people don’t get nearly the credit they deserve when it comes to the mainstream media. We’re played for dummies more often than not, with the talking heads on the television constantly goading us into some mild form of hatred for one another.  The medium thrives on conflict, with sensationalism often being the key to ratings success and economic fortune, so dividing the nation down the false dichotomy of right versus left works. But they’ve gone too far, and We The People are waking up to the truth. Amid all of this manufactured outrage, Americans are tuning out, and sending a message to the infotainment industry that enough is enough. Sanjay Gupta is safe, but much of the rest of CNN’s Atlanta-based staff that covers health care found out Tuesday they are getting pink slips — only a few weeks after the network called mass layoffs a “crazy rumor.” Specific details were not yet known, but a source told Fox News that “basically the whole division” will lose their jobs. CNN was unwilling to comment on the matter. TVNewser, a media watchdog site started by CNN’s Brian Stelter, managed to get confirmation from the network — just in time for a Friday news dump. “As part of the normal course of business, our newsgathering team made a small restructure earlier this week that ultimately impacts 6-7 employees within CNN’s Health Unit,” a CNN spokesperson told TVNewser’s A.J. Katz. Many health department staffers met with human resources on Tuesday. Katz noted that correspondent Elizabeth Cohen is also safe. The move comes after social media corporations began a mass censorship campaign targeting conservative news and opinion figures. The CNN debacle could very well be backlash by Americans who choose to remain vigilant in the face of such political discrimination.
