Ummm…ethical problem, there?

Registered sex offender Jeffrey Epstein remains behind bars after being convicted of sex trafficking in two states.

He won’t be getting out anytime soon, that’s for certain.

The guy even offered to pay $100 million of his own cash for private security if released on bail. But no dice.

From New York Post:

Convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein was so thrilled with the sweetheart plea deal his legal dream team scored for him in Florida, that he threw in an added bonus — nearly $1 million worth of donations to their favorite charities, including a tony Manhattan prep school.

In 2007, while two Manhattan-based criminal defense lawyers were finalizing Epstein’s deal, which included 13 months in a Palm Beach County jail and freedom from federal criminal prosecution, Epstein was writing checks to their charities.

Continued:

Epstein’s C.O.U.Q. non-profit donated $500,000 in 2007 to the Ramaz School on the Upper East Side where attorney Jay Lefkowitz was a prominent member of the school’s Orthodox Jewish community.

Epstein’s private foundation also donated $250,000 to the Washington-based Foundation for Criminal Justice where another attorney, Gerald Lefcourt, was a board member in 2007, public filings show.

U.S. Labor Secretary Alex Acosta is stepping down from his post following days on end of backlash for being involved in a plea deal he helped create while he was a U.S. Attorney for deplorable registered sex offender and pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

This is really disappointing, but probably the best course of action he could take at this point.

Now we just need to find someone who will honestly investigate the connection that Epstein has with the Clintons, since Bill seems to have been a regular flyer on his aircraft.

All individuals involved with this man need to be investigated and any wrongdoing discovered should be punished accordingly.

The fact this man victimized children is horrific on every level, but what’s truly disturbing is all of the power players he had connections with during his lifetime.

Joe Biden Wants Congress To Ban Chokeholds And Work On Police Reform

Published

on

Former Vice President and current Democratic Party presumptive nominee Joe Biden has called on Congress to take up the fight for police reform now instead of waiting until November. These comments come just a day after President Trump encouraged the use of military force to try and bring the chaos reigning in many cities across the country as violent protests explode, leading to riots, looting, and even shootings. Biden wants to see lawmakers ban the use of chokeholds by law enforcement officers with a federal law. Along with this he wants to see a national list of use-of-force best practices and for military grade equipment to stop being transferred over to local police departments. Here’s more on this from The Washington Examiner: “If Mitch McConnell can bring in the Senate to confirm Trump’s unqualified judicial nominees who will run roughshod over our Constitution now, it’s time to pass legislation that will give true meaning to our constitutional promise of equal protection under the law,” Biden said. Biden then went on to vow that he would make dealing with institutional racism one of his top priorities during his 100 days in office, should he defeat Trump in the upcoming presidential election. He also restated that he supports a police oversight commission. “Bad cops should be dealt with severely and swiftly,” Biden stated. “We set up in the Justice Department the ability for the Civil Rights Division to go in and look at the practices and policies of police departments. That’s why we were able to stop stop and frisk,” Biden told leaders gathered at the Bethel AME Church. “Reestablish that with more teeth in it because we also have to fundamentally change the way in which police are trained.” How can Biden claim to deal with institutional racism? Racism is a…

Biden Delivers Speech On Racism, Says Trump Is ‘Part Of The Problem’

Published

on

During remarks delivered by Democratic Party presumptive nominee Joe Biden concerning the rioting, looting, and deadly protests happening across the country in the wake of George Floyd’s death at the hands of police officers, the former vice president couldn’t resist sliding in a big shot at President Trump. “The president of the United States must be part of the solution, not part of the problem,” Biden said during the speech Tuesday morning. “But this president today is part of the problem and accelerates it.” The speech, so far, is the most direct assault on the president’s handling of the current civil unrest rocking the country after Floyd’s tragic death in Minneapolis on May 25. Here’s more on this from The Washington Examiner: “When he tweeted the words when the looting starts the shooting starts, they weren’t the words of the president, they were the words of a racist Miami police chief in the 1960s,” Biden said, referencing Trump’s controversial tweets over the last week. “The country is crying out for leadership. Leadership that can unite us, leadership that brings us together. Leadership that can recognize pain and deep grief of communities that have had a knee on their neck for a long time,” he said. “There’s no place for violence, no place for looting, or destroying property or destroying churches or destroying businesses.” As this was a prime opportunity for Biden to chit-chat about the upcoming presidential election later this year, the presumptive nominee promised that he would “seek to heal the racial wounds that have long plagued our country.” What that entails or how he plans to do such a thing still remain a mystery.
