Russian Media Now Bragging About “Chasing Off” US Warships

Certainly, if James Mattis or Donald Trump gets wind of this claim, we’re sure to have ourselves a blunt correction.

As tensions between the US and Russia rise, it has become common practice for the Kremlin to ramp up the military mischief created by the Russian forces…particularly as it pertains to harassing the United States.

In this realm of wild stunts, the Ruskies have been adamant about putting the brave men and women of the US Armed Forces in harm’s way, often interesting US aircraft in death-defying, acrobatic ways that are a danger to all involved.

Just take a look at this video from earlier in 2018, where a Russian jet comes within feet of a non-offending US airplane.

Trending: MSM Trashes Trump for 7-Yr-Old’s Death, But Her Father Blows Narrative Wide Open

Of course, this isn’t the first instance of its kind…merely the latest and most egregious to date.

Now, in yet another escalation of rhetoric, the Russian media is reporting about another confrontation between the old Cold War foes, this time claiming that their military was able to “chase off” US warships from the Sea of Japan.

Moscow is seeking to downplay yesterday’s incident in the Sea of Japan, which saw an American destroyer sail through waters claimed by Russia for the first time since the Soviet era in 1987, and has released new details of the incident. Russia has further framed the incident as one in which the American ship was essentially chased out of the area.

Here’s where it gets silly.

“If the American destroyer’s crew demonstrated anything, it was its unsuccessful attempt to escape at full speed from Pacific Fleet forces escorting it,” the statement said.

Certainly, if James Mattis or Donald Trump gets wind of this claim, we’re sure to have ourselves a blunt correction.
