SEE IT: Lauren Boebert Upstages AOC with Wild Dress Stunt
The sheer irony of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Met Gala dress was astonishing.
The New York Congresswoman, who had previously modeled a $3,500 pantsuit for a photoshoot meant to highlight her alleged middle-class upbringing, had outdone herself in at the Met. She arrived at the $35,000 per ticket event in a dress that said “tax the rich”.
As you can imagine, the conservative media ate her up, needling the precocious progressive over the glaring disparity between the sentiment and the socialite setting.
But, as often is the case, the right wing is getting the last laugh.
Rep. Lauren Boebert, the Colorado Republican, took to Twitter on Thursday to apparently show her idea of the new fashion trend sweeping across Washington, D.C., after this week’s elections.
Boebert mocked Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s “Tax the Rich” dress that the New York Democrat wore to the Met Gala in September. Boebert’s dress read, “Let’s Go, Brandon,” the phrase that has become something of a rallying cry for President Biden’s most fierce critics, which is code for a derogatory message to the president. “It’s not a phrase, it’s a movement,” Boebert posted.
Boebert’s office told Fox News on Friday that she posed for the photo with former President Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida this week.
The dress was getting quite a bit of play on Twitter on Friday.

Boeboert’s team also intimated that the freshmen Representative had a promising meeting with the former President, as they looked to reiterate her allegiance to the Make America Great Again Movement.
