SEE IT: Minor League Park Sends Fans Running with Errant Fireworks
Fireworks at the ballpark: It doesn’t get a whole lot better than that on summer night.
The national pastime, combined with a celebration that reminds us of the founding of this great nation, all taken in with a cold beer and a hot dog. Nothing beats it.
But for fans of the Rocket City Trash Pandas, (yes, that’s their real name), this summertime soiree turned terrifying as the aforementioned fireworks went astray.
A fireworks show for the Rocket City Trash Pandas, a minor league affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, backfired and sent fans scurrying for cover after a certain product was “incorrectly inserted and secured into its holder.”
Amazingly, no fans were injured despite the malfunction sending fireworks directly into a nearby crowd.
Video of the incident was soon circulating online.

Luckily, only one minor injury was reported in the incident, which was determined to have occurred due to human error when a particular explosive was placed in the wrong launcher.
