Sen. Tom Cotton Warns Federal Government to ‘Exercise Caution’ or Pandemic Will Get Worse

He’s probably right…

Sen. Tom Cotton, a man beloved by folks on the right for his brutal honesty and America first values, recently gave a warning that the federal government needs to exercise caution or else risk making the coronavirus pandemic even worse than it already is, which is pretty darn bad.

Cotton made an appearance on “Fox & Friends” with host Steve Doocy, where he stated that while he’d love to see America up and running again by Easter as the president has suggested, he feels a “relaxing of some of the restrictions on public activities” could lead to a “resurgence of the pandemic.”

“Ultimately, this is going to be a multifaceted response,” he stated. “It’s going to require more testing and more personal protective equipment for our doctors and our nurses, making sure that none of our hospitals – whether it’s in rural Arkansas or in New York City – are overwhelmed not just by coronavirus cases but by other cases needing intensive care, and then also taking [an] assessment of conditions on a regional or even local basis.”

Trump argued during a Fox News town hall Tuesday he doesn’t want “to turn the country off” and see a continued economic downfall from the pandemic. He also said he worries the U.S. will see “suicides by the thousands” if coronavirus devastates the economy.

“We lose thousands and thousands of people a year to the flu. We don’t turn the country off,” Trump said.

“Now, remember, the president didn’t ‘shut down the country,'” Cotton remarked. “These are decisions that are being made by governors and by mayors at the local and state level based on conditions in their state.”

Cotton said that whenever America gets going again it will be in places that haven’t been ravaged by the virus or at least have the spread of the virus successfully contained.

“So, you won’t just see a single nationwide set of conditions,” he told Doocy. “I think you see it down to the local and state level as the president and the federal government works with our governors and our mayors.”

Cotton is right. If we ease up on restrictions too soon, we’ll end up with a resurgence of this awful illness and wind up right back where we started. We just need to put up with the craziness and discomfort for awhile longer and get this knocked out the first try so we don’t have to do this over again.

Our nation couldn’t handle another wave of this illness, so let’s take every measure necessary to put the coronavirus in check.

President Trump Lost Nearly $1 Billion of Personal Wealth During 4-Years In Office (Details)

Wonder if Obama lost money during his two terms?

John Salvatore

What’s a billion dollars to a multi-billionaire? Probably nothing. But what’s a billion dollars to a man with an ego the size of Donald Trump’s? Probably a lot. That being said, the duly-elected POTUS didn’t care about losing money. He’s not dumb. He knew what he was getting in to when he ran declared his candidacy back in 2015. But losing a billion dollars is what can happen when you don’t take a salary or make any business deals for four solid years. From USA Today: WASHINGTON – The presidency appears to have cost Donald Trump more than $1 billion in wealth. Trump tumbled nearly 300 spots on Forbes’ billionaire rankings during his presidency, the magazine reported this week, with his estimated wealth falling from $3.5 billion to $2.4 billion during his four-year term. CONTINUED: That’s still good enough for 1,299th place on the magazine’s new billionaire list, down from 1,001st last year. The list is topped by a frequent political target of Trump: Amazon and Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos, whose wealth is tagged at $177 billion. WATCH:

Report: Antifa Radicals Tried Burning Down Building with Federal Agents Inside (Watch)

You’d think this would be bigger news!!

John Salvatore

What else is there to say about “antifa?” The radical group is comprised of anti-American children who don’t want to work and demand everything come free. They also don’t care how many innocent people die for their “cause,” either. Check this out, via Right Scoop: CNN only mentions Antifa when they’re arguing that Trump and Republicans believe in conspiracy theories about antifa. Otherwise, the group – which they think is an “idea” – is totally off their radar. Like last night, when they tried to burn down a federal building as part of their ongoing insurrection, CNN didn’t cover it. And still haven’t. In fact in the last year they’ve barely talked about violence in Portland, D.C., and elsewhere, except when they could blame it on conservatives. WATCH: From Daily Caller: Former Vice President Joe Biden endorsed Antifa in a video announcing his presidential bid Thursday, characterizing the group as “courageous” and saying it’s wrong to draw a moral equivalence between white nationalist groups and those opposing them. The violent methods of Antifa are well documented. The nebulous group often uses these violent means against peaceful conservative speakers, benign free speech advocates, and even journalists.
