Sen. Tom Cotton Warns Federal Government to ‘Exercise Caution’ or Pandemic Will Get Worse

He’s probably right…

Sen. Tom Cotton, a man beloved by folks on the right for his brutal honesty and America first values, recently gave a warning that the federal government needs to exercise caution or else risk making the coronavirus pandemic even worse than it already is, which is pretty darn bad.

Cotton made an appearance on “Fox & Friends” with host Steve Doocy, where he stated that while he’d love to see America up and running again by Easter as the president has suggested, he feels a “relaxing of some of the restrictions on public activities” could lead to a “resurgence of the pandemic.”

“Ultimately, this is going to be a multifaceted response,” he stated. “It’s going to require more testing and more personal protective equipment for our doctors and our nurses, making sure that none of our hospitals – whether it’s in rural Arkansas or in New York City – are overwhelmed not just by coronavirus cases but by other cases needing intensive care, and then also taking [an] assessment of conditions on a regional or even local basis.”

Trump argued during a Fox News town hall Tuesday he doesn’t want “to turn the country off” and see a continued economic downfall from the pandemic. He also said he worries the U.S. will see “suicides by the thousands” if coronavirus devastates the economy.

“We lose thousands and thousands of people a year to the flu. We don’t turn the country off,” Trump said.

“Now, remember, the president didn’t ‘shut down the country,'” Cotton remarked. “These are decisions that are being made by governors and by mayors at the local and state level based on conditions in their state.”

Cotton said that whenever America gets going again it will be in places that haven’t been ravaged by the virus or at least have the spread of the virus successfully contained.

“So, you won’t just see a single nationwide set of conditions,” he told Doocy. “I think you see it down to the local and state level as the president and the federal government works with our governors and our mayors.”

Cotton is right. If we ease up on restrictions too soon, we’ll end up with a resurgence of this awful illness and wind up right back where we started. We just need to put up with the craziness and discomfort for awhile longer and get this knocked out the first try so we don’t have to do this over again.

Our nation couldn’t handle another wave of this illness, so let’s take every measure necessary to put the coronavirus in check.

Pro-Trump Georgia Democrat Says Kamala Harris Is ‘The Wrong Person’ To Win The Black Vote

Georgia Democratic state Rep. Vernon Jones, who is bold and brave enough to have tossed his support behind President Donald Trump, stated that Democrats thought Sen. Kamala Harris, who has been announced as Joe Biden’s vice presidential running mate, would “help them save the Black vote, but that was the wrong person for that job to do that.” Jones made these controversial statements on the Wednesday morning edition of “Fox & Friends,” just one day after Biden made the announcement concerning Harris. One of the interesting facts about Harris the left hasn’t addressed yet is her deep background with law enforcement. Here is more from Fox News: “This was a good day for President Trump” Jones said. He then pointed out that “Trump has a better record on helping black men and women than Kamala Harris has, than Joe Biden has and as this story gets told more and more African-Americans are coming his way and that is what they’re afraid of.” “She flip-flops,” Jones added on Wednesday. He also accused her of saying “anything she can to get elected.” “Joe Biden has the right string, but the wrong yo-yo,” he went on to say, pointing out that Harris is “liberal.” “She accused Biden of being biased when it came to busing,” Jones added. He’s absolutely spot on about her flip-flopping on the issues. Whatever the popular take on a leftist agenda item happens to be at the moment, that’s the stance she’s going to take. Period. She’s an opportunist to the core. There are no principles, not even leftist ones, to which she seems beholden to, and that’s dangerous. Someone like that is easy to control, to manipulate. To use as a mouthpiece for agenda items passed down from those in power in the Democratic Party. And make no…

Biden’s VP Pick Kamala Harris Actively Promoted Group That Provided Bail For Alleged Violent Criminals

Sen. Kamala Harris, who has been tapped to be Joe Biden’s vice presidential running mate on Tuesday, supported and promoted an organization that helped to provide bail money for violent criminals who were arrested during the riots that exploded after the death of George Floyd. That same group has now gone on to put up bail for an alleged murderer and a previously convicted rapist. A report from FOX 9 on Monday revealed that the group, Minnesota Freedom Fund, has in recent weeks bailed out people like Darnika Floyd, who was charged with second-degree murder after allegedly killing a friend by stabbing them to death. They also provided bail support for Christopher Boswell, who is currently facing charges of sexual assault and kidnapping. The MFF helped put up $100,000 for Floyd and $350,000 for Boswell. Check out the details from Fox News: MFF received about $35 million in the wake of Floyd’s death — which came after a Minneapolis Police Department officer knelt on his neck for almost nine minutes — with at least some of it coming from a number of Biden staffers who donated to the group and then tweeted about it. And Harris, D-Calif., a former prosecutor who served as the attorney general of California for six years, promoted the fund herself in a June 1 tweet, telling her followers that the group would be able to help protesters swept up in clashes with police as unrest gripped Minneapolis. But MFF, which received so much money amid the unrest that it asked people to start donating to other groups instead, didn’t just bail out protesters who may have been victims of overzealous policing. FOX 9 also reported that Jaleel Stallings, who is accused of shooting at police during the May riots, was bailed out by MFF…
