Senator Drops Mussolini Quote On AOC, Response Shows She Has No Clue - AT ALL
Democrat Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez thinks she’s always doing the right thing.
Time after time, though, she’s proven wrong. And not just sort of wrong, but resoundingly wrong.
Check out what happened after GOP Senator John Cornyn (TX) sent a tweet using a quote from Italian dictator Benito Mussolini…
From The Daily Wire:
On Sunday, Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) mocked the creators of the Green New Deal, among them Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), by likening her and her cohorts ideas to the dreams of fascist dictator Benito Mussolini. Ocasio-Cortez missed the joke, however, in the process displaying once again that she’s not the most sophisticated thinker in the continental United States.
“We were the first to assert that the more complicated the forms assumed by civilization, the more restricted the freedom of the individual must become.” Benito Mussolini
Enter Cornyn:

AOC’s response:
In case you missed it, while the GOP is calling paying a living wage “socialism,” a Republican Senator full-on quoted National Fascist Party leader and Hitler ally Benito Mussolini like it’s a Hallmark card.

Reactions:
It's funny how she doesn't get that he's quoting one of her ideological forefathers to mock her. #DimBulb https://t.co/os88GjEuvt

Were you dropped on your head as a baby, or is this an even dumber staffer? https://t.co/vkE0wAnHdE

Cornyn then came back for some more fun:
You nailed it, Bud. Since so-called Democratic Socialists have forgotten or never learned the lessons of history, and how their ideology is incompatible with freedom, I guess we have to remind or teach them. https://t.co/ftzal1DMED

Ocasio-Cortez is very mad with the liberal media.
Why?
Because they reported something she said.
No joke.
AOC says she didn’t say what is being reported while speaking with late night host Stephen Colbert, but as you’ll see below, that is clearly a lie.
Colbert: “Now, congresswoman, for you and other freshman members of Congress, you’re getting a fair amount of pushback from even members of your own party saying ‘wait your turn, go slow, don’t ask for so much so fast right now, you’re new, wait your turn for everything and don’t make waves.'” I want to ask this question in a respectful manner, knowing also that you’re from Queens, so you will understand this question. On a scale from zero to some, how many f***s do you give?“
“I think it’s zero,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

Ocasio-Cortez claims that she did not say last night on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" that she gives "zero" f*cks about pushback from Democrats

Check out AOC on the rampage:
I actually didn’t say this, so while I know “brown women cursing” drives clicks, maybe you accurately quote the whole exchange instead of manipulating people into thinking I said this sentence instead of just the word “zero.” https://t.co/MrXIbALNP3

In a shock to no one, @politico is also running with the misattribution as well.
Here’s what actually happened: I was asked a question on a late night show and answered with the word “zero.”https://t.co/soBEwGTSbd

And here’s the @nypost not only running with the false quote, but adding an angry photo to boot:
This is how news hysteria develops out of nothing at all. https://t.co/cJmBwPit6I
