Sports Coverage Plummets In Ratings While Fox News Conquers Summer Programming

Published

mainstream media

You’ve probably heard the phrase “go woke, go broke,” in recent years as more and more companies, television and movie studios, athletes, and other celebrities embrace the insanity of Marxist driven political correctness, stuffing their point of view into every piece of content they possibly can.

Nowhere has this been seen more clearly than in the world of professioinal sports. Over the last year, there has been a lack of sports coverage due to the coronavirus crisis. However, over the last month or two, we’ve seen the return of basketball, baseball, and hockey.

And yet, despite our culture starving for sports content, ratings are dropping like stones. Why? Maybe it has something to do with all of the Black Lives Matter bull the athletes continue to push by not standing for the National Anthem among many other things.

So while sports declines in the ratings, Fox News is soaring to the top of the most watched summer programming in the country. You know the left just hates that.

Here’s more from The Washington Examiner:

Pulling an average prime-time audience of more than 3.4 million viewers since June 1, Fox News beat out CBS, NBC, and ABC during the same time frame.

The numbers include network coverage of major sporting events, such as Major League Baseball’s opening night and the NBA restart, both of which came late last month.

On the night of baseball’s return, the game between the Washington Nationals and the New York Yankees garnered a total audience of 4.005 million viewers. On the same night, more than 4.3 million people watched Sean Hannity’s program, followed by Young Sheldon at 4.1 million viewers, and Tucker Carlson Tonight, which pulled 4 million.

Fox News in July notched its 49th straight month as the top-watched cable news network in the country, dwarfing the audiences of MSNBC and CNN. Prime-time host Laura Ingraham last month passed Rachel Maddow as the highest-rated female cable news host in the country.

Once opening day for the MLB came and went, so did the ratings for the games.

President Trump himself has stated that if professional athletes continue to disrespect America by bowing the knee during the National Anthem, he would no longer watch the games.

At the end of the day, the message seems to be that folks do not want their sports corrupted by politics and used as a means of pushing a liberal agenda down the throats of Americans looking for a small slice of normalicay in this crazy time we’re going through.

The question is whether or not professional sports will listen.

Dr. Anthony Fauci Makes Prediction On When He Thinks COVID-19 Vaccine Will Be Ready

Published

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the country’s leading expert on infectious diseases, recently stated that he believes a vaccine for the coronavirus will be fully tested, prepared, and effective to use by the end of the year. Whether or not folks on the left want to hear this is another story. If you look at the major breakthroughs that have happened lately in regard to the virus, it seems as if Democrats actually want this pandemic and the restrictions with it, to stick around for a lot longer. This probably has something to do with the presidential election in November. via Daily Wire: “I would still put my money on November, December,” Fauci said at a Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute panel, CNN reported. Fauci, an immunologist and director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases who serves on the White House Coronavirus Task Force, said testing a vaccine requires about 150 subjects to actually get the virus. “Right now, the trials are over two thirds enrolled – really close to full enrollment on one, and over full enrollment on the other,” he said. “It really depends on where the sites are and how many infections there are in a site. So you could get your answer sooner, or you can get your answer a bit later.” “Fauci said his projection of November or December is informed by calculations based on where the clinical trial sites are in their studies,” CNN said in its report. President Trump stated earlier in the week that new plans are underway from the Department of Defense working in tandem with health agencies, to ensure that every single American can get the vaccine for free, once it is approved by the Food and Drug Administration. Agencies in the government are eyeing January as the target date…

As November Election Draws Near, NRA Reveals It Raised More In August Than Any Month In 2016

Published

on

The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund, which is a political action committee that is associated with the pro-second amendment organization, ended up raising more than $1.7 million in the month of August, completely annihilating its August 2016 totals and raising more cash than any month ahead of the election held that year. One has to wonder how much the riots, looting, and violence that has spread across the country has had to do with that? You know, the fact that people are now wide awake to the reality that the left isn’t going to be there to help them or manage the chaos exploding around them, is an effective promotion of the importance of gun rights. via Fox News: The $1,725,700 the organization raised in August is almost $240,000 higher than its best month of 2016, March, when it raised just under $1.5 million. The NRA’s PAC pulled in $1.4 million in August 2016. “The NRA is grateful to our members and gun owners for a record-breaking August,” NRA spokeswoman Amy Hunter told Fox News. “Americans step up when their rights are in danger, and they’re stepping up now because they know the stakes of this election couldn’t be higher.” Hunter added that its August fundraising total “is proof that people want to protect their gun rights and their right to self-defense, and that they trust and depend on the NRA to protect these rights and freedoms.” This massive increase in fundraising is happening as the November election, which is a showdown between President Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden, draws nearer and nearer. Both individuals have very different stances on this issue, with Trump being very pro-gun and Biden being the polar opposite. The August numbers pulled in by the NRA are the highest it has brought…
