State Dept. SLAMS Another False Media Claim

The Post once again floated fake news as a way to attack President Trump. The State Dept pounced!

The U.S. Dept. of State slammed the media’s newest attack on Trump after a fake news story said that he is denying passport renewals to people living on the U.S. border with Mexico.

A recent story by the left-wing Washington Post claimed that Trump was turning away American citizens from being allowed to renew their American passports. The paper hinted that it is all because the Trump administration is filled with racists.

The Post’s article claimed that “The Trump administration is accusing hundreds, and possibly thousands of Hispanics along the border of using fraudulent birth certificates since they were babies, and it is undertaking a widespread crackdown.”

But the Post once again floated fake news as a way to attack President Trump.

The Daily Caller corrected the record:

However, that is not true, according to the State Department. In fact, the number of domestic passport denials at the southern border is at a six-year low and the number of midwife cases has gone down under the current administration.

Further, the 2015 calendar year had more renewal denials at the border than any year in that timeframe with approximately 1,500. That year also had the highest percentage of denials at 35.9 percent in respect to the number of birth certificates that were deemed “potentially fraudulent” over the same time period.

Conversely, less than 750 people had passports not renewed this year so far and that is 25.8 percent of the total in question. Should this percentage stay the same through the end of the year, it’d be the lowest in the aforementioned timeframe.

The State Dept. slammed the Post’s fake news.

When asked about the Post’s reporting, Heather Nauert, a State Department spokesperson said, “This is an irresponsible attempt to create division and stoke fear among American citizens while attempting to inflame tensions over immigration. The facts don’t back up the Washington Post’s reporting. Under the Trump Administration, domestic passport denials for so called ‘midwife cases’ are at a 6-year low. The reporting is a political cheap shot.”

As it happens even the Post has reported in the past that these midwives have been caught lying, cheating, and breaking the law.

But now, because they want to destroy Trump, they’ve decided to look at the “facts” in a “different” way.

It is the perfect example of how the media lies to push their left-wing agenda.

Kevin McCarthy isn’t playing around anymore.

Maxine Waters

On Capitol Hill this week, there has been turbulence once again. This time, instead of a riotous mob looking to storm the building and create chaos intended to derail our government, the trouble comes from California Congresswoman Maxine Waters, whose suggestion that Americans need to be “more confrontational” in their opinions on the Derek Chauvin trial has been widely lambasted as an inappropriate call to arms at a time in which our nation is already suffering from uncouth bouts of political violence. For her troubles, Waters is now facing censure. House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy told Breitbart News exclusively that he will move to formally censure House Financial Services Committee chairwoman Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) over her call to violence in Minnesota this weekend. McCarthy’s move, which comes after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi refused to hold Waters accountable, will force a censure vote in the House. Pelosi cannot stop McCarthy’s resolution censuring Waters from receiving a vote, because it is a privileged resolution. If Democrats lose just three of their members on this vote and all Republicans vote for it, then Waters will be formally censured by the House and likely lose her powerful position as chair of the Financial Services Committee. This is certainly not Waters’ first foray into violent rhetoric. The Democratic stalwart had suggested that her constituents seek out conservatives and make them feel “not welcome” during a speech in 2018.  Over the next several days, Democratic operatives verbally harassed a number of prominent GOP women, shouting them out of public spaces.
