State Dept. SLAMS Another False Media Claim

The Post once again floated fake news as a way to attack President Trump. The State Dept pounced!

The U.S. Dept. of State slammed the media’s newest attack on Trump after a fake news story said that he is denying passport renewals to people living on the U.S. border with Mexico.

A recent story by the left-wing Washington Post claimed that Trump was turning away American citizens from being allowed to renew their American passports. The paper hinted that it is all because the Trump administration is filled with racists.

The Post’s article claimed that “The Trump administration is accusing hundreds, and possibly thousands of Hispanics along the border of using fraudulent birth certificates since they were babies, and it is undertaking a widespread crackdown.”

The Daily Caller corrected the record:

However, that is not true, according to the State Department. In fact, the number of domestic passport denials at the southern border is at a six-year low and the number of midwife cases has gone down under the current administration.

Further, the 2015 calendar year had more renewal denials at the border than any year in that timeframe with approximately 1,500. That year also had the highest percentage of denials at 35.9 percent in respect to the number of birth certificates that were deemed “potentially fraudulent” over the same time period.

Conversely, less than 750 people had passports not renewed this year so far and that is 25.8 percent of the total in question. Should this percentage stay the same through the end of the year, it’d be the lowest in the aforementioned timeframe.

The State Dept. slammed the Post’s fake news.

When asked about the Post’s reporting, Heather Nauert, a State Department spokesperson said, “This is an irresponsible attempt to create division and stoke fear among American citizens while attempting to inflame tensions over immigration. The facts don’t back up the Washington Post’s reporting. Under the Trump Administration, domestic passport denials for so called ‘midwife cases’ are at a 6-year low. The reporting is a political cheap shot.”

As it happens even the Post has reported in the past that these midwives have been caught lying, cheating, and breaking the law.

But now, because they want to destroy Trump, they’ve decided to look at the “facts” in a “different” way.

It is the perfect example of how the media lies to push their left-wing agenda.

AOC and Nancy Pelosi are Tearing the Democratic Party in Half

It’s the old guard against the fresh faces, and the left side of the aisle may be left in ruins when it’s all said and done.

Thanks to the mainstream media ripe divisiveness, and President Trump’s incredibly pointed ability to polarize liberals, the democratic party may very well be knocking on death’s door. You see, the left is tearing itself to shreds over “what to do about” Donald Trump – an elected President. First, they wanted to nullify the 2016 election by insisting that the Russia government had somehow affected the outcome.  This effort is still ongoing in some capacity through the continued efforts of congressional leaders such as Jerry Nadler, despite the White House’s outright opposition to any and all attempts. Now comes an attempt at impeachment.  Maybe.  Or maybe not.  Or definitely. This glut of confusion comes to us courtesy of the divide among democrats as to where to go next.  The old guard, represented all too perfectly by Nancy Pelosi, is hoping to stave off the proceedings until after the 2020 election, fearing the mighty blowback they’ll receive at the polls. The fresher faces of the party, however, are unafraid of the doom that impeachment proceedings will bring to their careers and character. When asked about impeachment, and whether or not it is time for Congress to begin the harrowing process, freshman Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez responded in stark contrast to Pelosi. Ocasio-Cortez said, “You know, I trust the Speaker is taking a measured approach to ensure that we’re moving everyone forward and, you know, being a Speaker is hard, holding this party together is a difficult task, but I personally think so. I think we have to move forward.” Pelosi is having none of it. In a separate meeting with the Democrat Steering and Policy Committee, Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) reportedly stood up and demanded Trump’s impeachment. “This is not about politics, it’s about what’s best for the American people,” Pelosi said, replying…

Former White House Counsel Gives Nadler and Co. Cold Shoulder

We will undoubtedly be hearing a lot about contempt in the coming days.

Jerry Nadler

There is a legislative war brewing on Capitol Hill this week, and Don McGahn just fired one of the first shots. McGahn, who was a key witness in Robert Mueller’s 22 month-long investigation into Russia election interference in 2016, has defied a subpoena to testify before Congress. This isn’t terribly surprising, given that the White House had instructed McGahn to do so. The top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee vowed Tuesday to go to court if necessary to seek former White House Counsel Don McGahn’s testimony, after he defied a subpoena and skipped a committee hearing at President Trump’s direction. The move infuriated Democrats and touched off what could be another high-profile battle over holding a Trump official in contempt of Congress. “Let me be clear, this committee will hear Mr. McGahn’s testimony, even if we have to go to court to secure it,” House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y, said at the beginning of the hearing which McGahn did not attend. Nadler is undoubtedly gong to seek a charge of contempt for McGahn. This would mark the second Trump administration official to be charged with contempt of Congress, following Attorney General Bill Barr who was booked by the legislative branch for his refusal to comply with a subpoena for the full and un-redacted Mueller report weeks ago. The next step for the democrats is a doozy, as they will need to decide if and how to enforce their contempt.  Will Bill Barr be dragged in front of Congress in handcuffs by the Sergeant at Arms?  Will Don McGahn be fined into bankruptcy and disbarred? Given the reticence of the White House to indulge Jerry Nadler’s follies, we will likely find out the answers to these questions sooner rather than later.
