State Dept. SLAMS Another False Media Claim

The Post once again floated fake news as a way to attack President Trump. The State Dept pounced!

The U.S. Dept. of State slammed the media’s newest attack on Trump after a fake news story said that he is denying passport renewals to people living on the U.S. border with Mexico.

A recent story by the left-wing Washington Post claimed that Trump was turning away American citizens from being allowed to renew their American passports. The paper hinted that it is all because the Trump administration is filled with racists.

The Post’s article claimed that “The Trump administration is accusing hundreds, and possibly thousands of Hispanics along the border of using fraudulent birth certificates since they were babies, and it is undertaking a widespread crackdown.”

The Daily Caller corrected the record:

However, that is not true, according to the State Department. In fact, the number of domestic passport denials at the southern border is at a six-year low and the number of midwife cases has gone down under the current administration.

Further, the 2015 calendar year had more renewal denials at the border than any year in that timeframe with approximately 1,500. That year also had the highest percentage of denials at 35.9 percent in respect to the number of birth certificates that were deemed “potentially fraudulent” over the same time period.

Conversely, less than 750 people had passports not renewed this year so far and that is 25.8 percent of the total in question. Should this percentage stay the same through the end of the year, it’d be the lowest in the aforementioned timeframe.

The State Dept. slammed the Post’s fake news.

When asked about the Post’s reporting, Heather Nauert, a State Department spokesperson said, “This is an irresponsible attempt to create division and stoke fear among American citizens while attempting to inflame tensions over immigration. The facts don’t back up the Washington Post’s reporting. Under the Trump Administration, domestic passport denials for so called ‘midwife cases’ are at a 6-year low. The reporting is a political cheap shot.”

As it happens even the Post has reported in the past that these midwives have been caught lying, cheating, and breaking the law.

But now, because they want to destroy Trump, they’ve decided to look at the “facts” in a “different” way.

It is the perfect example of how the media lies to push their left-wing agenda.

Pelosi, Capitol Police Now Bickering Over ‘Orders’ to ‘Arrest’ the Mask-less

This is getting embarrassing for Nancy…

Thankfully, the latest COVID-19 stunt by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi only took a few hours to unravel this time around. Pelosi, who has been pushing the GOP’s buttons on mask mandates for months now, used the CDC’s recent guidance adjustment to bring the facial coverings back to the House floor.  This prompted protests from a great many Republicans, and Pelosi subsequently threatened to have the Capitol Police start arresting folks who wouldn’t comply. The Capitol Police were not exactly on board with that idea. https://twitter.com/CapitolPolice/status/1420810728387264517?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1420810728387264517%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.foxnews.com%2Fpolitics%2Fcapitol-police-ordered-arrest-staff-visitors-not-wearing-masks A response from the speaker followed. Pelosi’s office said she did not order police to begin arresting people because it’s not within her power. “The speaker of the House does not control the U.S. Capitol Police,” Pelosi spokesperson Drew Hammill told Fox News.  “We were unaware of the memo until it was reported in the press.” The embarrassing incident comes amid a flurry of criticisms of Pelosi’s handling of the Congressional mask policy, and likely marks yet another milestone in the decline of Nancy Pelosi’s speakership.

Capitol Police Ordered to Arrest Those Who Refuse Mask Mandate

Is Pelosi exploiting the Capitol Police to antagonize the GOP?

The COVID-19 pandemic has once again become a major piece of the American political landscape in 2021, as a new variant of the once-waning virus now threatens to set back herd immunity by several months or more. And while this is certainly not good news, there are still concerns that the Democratic Party is still taking this whole thing a bit too seriously, possibly in an attempt to virtue-signal their way into the hearts of young liberals everywhere. Their latest militant maneuver is being slathered in criticism, however. U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) were ordered to start arresting visitors and staff who refuse to wear a mask on the House side of the Capitol complex starting Thursday, according to a police memo issued by new USCP Chief Thomas Manger that was obtained by a member of Congress. Police were also advised not to arrest members of Congress for failing to wear masks but to report the lawmakers’ noncompliance to the House sergeant-at-arms, the memo says. It didn’t take long for a backlash to erupt. Rep. Kat Cammack, R-Fla., got a copy of the memo distributed at Thursday’s morning roll call from an unnamed police officer, she told Fox News. Police she’s spoken to are “very uncomfortable” with this new directive that Cammack describes as “tyrannical.” “This is such an overstep of Speaker Pelosi’s authority to basically make our Capitol Police arrest staff members and report on members [of Congress],” Cammack told Fox News Thursday. “It’s absolutely unconscionable that this is where we’re at.” The move comes just a day after House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s comments on possible mask requirements prompted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to call him a “moron”.
