Taylor Swift Breaks Political Silence. Democrat She Endorses Will Make Liberals Angry.

Megastar Taylor Swift has done a fairly good job at remaining silent on political matters, not wishing to alienate fans of her music who come from all walks of life, something that we all wish more folks in the public sphere would do.

Or at least make informed opinions instead of spouting brainless talking points.

Anyway, Swift has broken that silence, however, the Democrat she’s endorsed supported Judge Brett Kavanaugh, which is going to go over with her liberal fans like a lead balloon.

While not surprising that a young person would lean liberal, Swift announced that she will back former Tennessee governor Phil Bredesen for the Senate seat. Bredesen, though, recently angered Democrats and rabid liberals by announcing that he would have supported Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination for the Supreme Court, declaring that there was no evidence to support last-minute sexual assault allegations against him.

The hardcore left MoveOn immediately pulled its support after Bredesen’s announcement. “We’re cancelling a planned six-figure digital video ad expenditure for Phil Bredesen in Tennessee due to his Kavanaugh position. And similarly will be pulling all planned campaigning on behalf of Joe Manchin in West Virginia if he votes yes. Kavanaugh is unfit for the Court,” MoveOn.org wrote on Twitter.

We’re not sure if MoveOn will pull its endorsement of Swift’s music.

For his part, Bredesen happily accepted the support of one of the world’s most popular singers.

“Thank you for the kind words @taylorswift13. I’m honored to have your support and that of so many Tennesseans who are ready to put aside the partisan shouting and get things done. We’re ready for it. Last day to register to vote is October 9,” he wrote.

You can almost hear the outrage from the rabid portion of the left who will no doubt rake Swift over the coals for committing blasphemy against the collective consciousness of the progressive movement and throwing her support behind someone who dared speak out in favor of Kavanaugh.

Despite the slight hilarity of such a situation, it’s still sad to see Swift falling victim to the false idea that everything needs to be political and that every human being has to espouse their views on a public platform.

Contrary to what liberals say, you can be involved and active in politics without broadcasting it to the entire planet.
