Trump And Fauci Battle Each Other Concerning Doctor’s Praise On Coronavirus Response

Published

on

President Trump and Dr. Anthony Fauci got in a little verbal sparring match over the weekend concerning the doctor’s praise for the Trump administration at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.

The spat is the result of the Trump campaign releasing a political ad that features a quote by Fauci, who is an immunologist and serves as the director for the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and who is also a big player on the White House Coronavirus Task Force, saying he “can’t imagine…that anybody could be doing more.”

The commercial is 30 seconds in length and is currently running in the key battleground state of Michigan.

“President Trump is recovering from the coronavirus, and so is America,” the ad’s narrator says. “Together we rose to meet the challenge, protecting our seniors, getting them life-saving drugs in record time, sparing no expense.” The ad then cuts to Fauci for his “can’t imagine” quote.

While there’s no date attributed to the quote, CNN reported that it came from a March interview on Fox News. “During that interview, Fauci praised the White House coronavirus task force’s round-the-clock effort to respond to the pandemic, which he says included numerous White House meetings and late-night phone calls,” CNN wrote.

Here’s the thing. Fauci might not have been offering Trump praise. As a true narcissist, he might actually have been giving himself praise. Guess humility isn’t one of his character traits.

“We’ve never had a threat like this,” CNN quotes Fauci as saying then. “The coordinated response has been… There are a number of adjectives to describe it — impressive, I think is one of them. We’re talking about all hands on deck. I, as one of many people on a team, I’m not the only person. Since the beginning, that we even recognized what this was, I have been devoting almost full time on this. I’m down at the White House virtually every day with the task force. It’s every single day. So, I can’t imagine that under any circumstances that anybody could be doing more.”

Fauci responded to the ad by saying that he doesn’t do politics and that the comment he made is being “taken out of context.”

“In my nearly five decades of public service, I have never publicly endorsed any political candidate,” Fauci said to CNN. “The comments attributed to me without my permission in the GOP campaign ad were taken out of context from a broad statement I made months ago about the efforts of federal public health officials.”

President Trump fired back on Twitter, “They are indeed Dr. Fauci’s own words. We have done a ‘phenomenal’ job, according to certain governors. Many people agree…And now come the Vaccines & Cures, long ahead of projections!”

Trump campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh also pushed back against Fauci trying to downplay the comment, saying, “These are Dr. Fauci’s own words. The video is from a nationally broadcast television interview in which Dr. Fauci was praising the work of the Trump Administration. The words spoken are accurate, and directly from Dr. Fauci’s mouth.”

“As Dr. Fauci recently testified in the Senate, President Trump took the virus seriously from the beginning, acted quickly, and saved lives,” Murtaugh went on to say.

The newest corporation to indulge wokeism is cereal company Kellogg’s which has just launched a cereal to push transgenderism on kids. The new flavor is an amalgam of several of their cereal brands all in the same box called “All Together.” Not only does this push the woke LGBTQ agenda, but is also give kids a spot to write their own “pronouns” on the box: https://twitter.com/robbystarbuck/status/1392669858718965766 According to gay website Advocate: Retailing for $4, Together With Pride will be on supermarket shelves in May, just prior to the month of LGBTQ+ festivities. For every purchase, Kellogg’s will donate $3 to GLAAD. For the donation to occur, patrons must upload a copy of their receipt to KelloggsFamilyRewards.com. The 7.8-ounce box is full of a rainbow variety of heart-shaped cereal bites and even edible glitter. Kellogg’s famous cereal figures are gathered on the exterior illustration, including Toucan Sam, Tony the Tiger, and the Rice Krispies elves, Snap, Crackle, and Pop. “We believe that all young people and those young at heart deserve an environment where they can grow up to be their best selves,” the caption on that box read. “That’s why we’ve joined forces with GLAAD by going purple on Spirit Day to stand up against bullying in all forms, and support a more accepting world for LGBTQ youth.” There is nothing new here, at least for Kellogg’s. This company has spent bullions funding hardcore, left-wing causes for decades. And they do this limited-edition gay cereal dealio just about every year. Survey: Liberals Wildly Over-Estimate Cop Shootings and Crime

A new poll finds that left-wingers have no idea how many police-involved shootings there are and how much crime there is.

Trump Derangement Syndrome

A new poll finds that left-wingers have no idea how many police-involved shootings there are and how much crime there really is in America today. For instance, fewer than 50 unarmed suspects were killed by police in 2020, but when asked how many they think there were, liberals falsely put the number in the hundreds. Liberals also get just about all their facts wrong about crime in general, with the leftists imagining it is hundreds of times higher than it really is. A new Heartland Institute and Rasmussen Reports survey found that half of the respondents who said they rely on CNN and MSNBC for their news can’t get their facts right. For instance, the lefties think that more than 100 unarmed black people were killed by police last year. On the other hand, only 22 percent of Fox viewers thought that that more than 100 unarmed blacks were shot by police. Specifically, the survey asked: “Approximately how many unarmed African Americans were fatally shot by police in 2020? Less than 50, 50 to 100, 500 to 1,000, 1,000 to 5,000, 5,000 to 10,000, or more than 10,000.” Twenty-four percent of CNN viewers and 19% of MSNBC viewers thought cops fatally shot more than 500 unarmed black suspects last year. Only 9% percent of Fox News viewers thought so. Fox News viewers (60%) and talk radio listeners (60%) were nearly three times more likely than MSNBC (19%) or CNN (23%) viewers to correctly estimate the number of unarmed black people shot and killed by police in 2020 as less than 50. “There is a strong correlation between a likely voter’s favorite television news outlet and his or her understanding of basic facts about police shootings and homicides involving rifles,” Justin Haskins of the Heartland Institute said of their results. “Compared…
